  • Unlock Sustainable Income: Blueprint for Female Entrepreneurs

From 'Wanting' to 'Earning': My Blueprint for Female Entrepreneurs to Strategically Build Sustainable Income with Purpose & Integrity Let’s be utterly honest for a moment, shall we? That little voice, the one that whispers (or sometimes, if you’re like me, roars ) "I want to make money" – it’s not just a fleeting thought for us ambitious female entrepreneurs, is it? It’s often a foundational rumble, a core driver that propels us forward, especially when we’re juggling motherhood, households, & the passionate pursuit of our dreams. And you know what? There's absolutely nothing wrong with that desire. In fact, it's vital. It’s about seeking autonomy, creating impact, providing for our families, & building a life that truly lights us up. I see you, & I get it. But here’s a truth I’ve learned on my own winding journey from the corporate world, where I often felt like my contributions were undervalued (delivering work worthy of a much larger paycheck than I received!), to building Femmeprenista: simply wanting to make money, no matter how fiercely, isn't enough to make it magically appear. Sustainable, fulfilling income isn't about luck, or passively wishing for it. It's about consciously shifting from that state of 'wanting' to a proactive, empowered state of 'earning' – & that, my loves, comes from taking personal responsibility & implementing smart, strategic actions. It’s about moving from a wish to a well-thought-out blueprint. And today, I want to share some of that blueprint with you. Beyond the Wish: Taking Personal Responsibility for Your Earnings I remember so clearly the frustration of corporate life – the feeling of being a cog, the limitations on leave (those 12-13 weeks of school holidays don't cover themselves, do they?!), & the sense that my true worth wasn't being reflected in my salary. I'm talking about consistently delivering work that should have commanded a £60k salary for barely half of that! That deep-seated desire for more – more autonomy, more direct impact, & yes, more income that I controlled – was a huge catalyst for me. But even with an MBA from Cranfield, I realised that just climbing another rung on someone else's ladder wasn't the answer. The quality of life, the alignment with my purpose, that was what truly mattered. And here’s the kicker: achieving that, especially through entrepreneurship, demands that we step up & own our financial future. It’s so easy to look at external factors, the market, the economy (and goodness knows, as millennials, we've seen our share of challenges, from stagnant wages to the ever-rising cost of a block of cheese!). And while those systemic issues are real, dwelling on them can leave us feeling powerless. The shift happens when we say, "Okay, this is the landscape. Now, what am I going to do about it? How can I take responsibility for creating the income I desire & deserve?" It’s about recognising that our unique skills, our vision, & our proactive, strategic efforts are the true engines of our earning potential. This isn't about blame; it's about empowerment. It’s about realising that even if the path is, as mine has been with four children & a PhD, perhaps "slower" or different to others, the responsibility for getting there is ultimately mine. And yours. Honestly, my journey is a testament to that: juggling a toddler & a baby whilst studying for my PhD definitely isn't the fastest path to income generation, but it's my path & I'm taking ownership of it every step of the way. Why "Just Hustling" Won't Cut It (& What Will) Now, I know the entrepreneurial world often glorifies "the hustle." And yes, dedication & hard work are absolutely essential. But "just hustling" – working all hours, burning the candle at both ends without a clear strategy – is a fast track to burnout, not sustainable income. According to a recent study, almost 80% of female entrepreneurs experience burnout within the first two years of launching their business https://www.upcity.com/research/small-business-burnout-statistics/ . I’ve learned this the hard way, & I see so many brilliant women fall into this trap. It's like tending to a garden once & then expecting it to flourish for years without further care – it simply doesn't work! I remember trying to launch a new offer while recovering from my fourth C-section – the pressure I put on myself nearly broke me, & the offer flopped because I couldn't sustain the pace. To move from simply wanting money to consistently earning it in a way that feels good & lasts, we need a more holistic approach. It’s about building a resilient business that not only generates revenue but also supports your life, your energy, & your overall wellbeing. This is why at Femmeprenista, our entire philosophy is built around the The Business Flourish Framework . This framework isn't just a set of abstract ideas; it's a practical roadmap guiding you through five interconnected pillars crucial for true, sustainable success: Focus (Mindset): This is where it all begins. It’s about cultivating unshakeable self-belief, crystal-clear clarity on your vision & goals, & the resilience to overcome those inevitable limiting beliefs that try to tell you you’re not good enough or that earning significant money is "for other people." I remember the sheer panic of moving to private school mid-year – feeling like I was so far behind everyone else, that I almost didn't bother asking questions for fear of sounding "stupid"... but then I discovered the power of actively seeking support & owning my learning journey. Flair (Authentic Marketing): This is about ditching the icky sales tactics & learning to articulate your unique value in a way that genuinely connects with your ideal clients. It's about marketing that feels authentic to you & draws people in because they resonate with your message & your mission. It's that spark of authenticity that makes your brand stand out. I remember initially struggling to articulate my unique value – my first website was a generic mess of business jargon, and no one knew what I actually did! But then I discovered the power of storytelling and sharing my own experiences – and suddenly, people started connecting with the real me. Flow (Efficient Systems): This is where the "work smart, not just hard" mantra comes alive. It’s about implementing streamlined systems & processes that create consistency & predictability in your business, freeing you from doing everything manually & allowing your revenue to become more repeatable. Fuel (Wellbeing): Let's be real, especially as mothers, we can't pour from an empty cup. This pillar is dedicated to integrating wellbeing practices into your entrepreneurial journey, ensuring you have the energy, vitality, & mental space to not only build your business but also to enjoy your life. This isn't just airy-fairy "self-care"; consistent stress limits cognitive performance and productivity, making strategic decision-making and focused client work almost impossible. So, protecting your well-being is directly linked to your bottom line. Fusion (AI Integration): And in today’s world, we have incredible tools at our fingertips. This is about strategically weaving in Artificial Intelligence to amplify your efforts across all pillars – from streamlining marketing tasks to making your systems even more efficient, helping you reclaim precious time & energy. This isn't about chasing quick wins; it's about building a robust foundation for a business that truly flourishes, supporting your financial goals & your personal fulfilment without sacrificing your sanity. We want to make sure you’re building a career that you love. Unlocking Your Earning Power: Practical Steps to Purposeful Profit So, how do we translate this holistic understanding into practical steps that actually lead to earning the money you desire? From Vision to Value: Defining What You Offer & To Whom (Flair) It all starts with clarity. You need a deep understanding of the unique value you bring to the table. What problem do you solve? Get crystal clear on this. People pay for solutions. It's not enough to say you're a coach – what specific pain points do you alleviate? For example, do you help overwhelmed mums reclaim 10 hours a week, or guide burnt-out creatives to rediscover their passion? Who do you solve it for? Trying to be everything to everyone is a recipe for attracting no one. Niche down & understand your ideal client intimately – their pains, their desires, their dreams. Are you speaking to the single-mum struggling to balance work & childcare, or the corporate escapee yearning for creative freedom? What makes your solution special? This is where your unique skills, experiences, & passions come into play. Don't underestimate what you know & what you can do! Do you bring a decade of marketing experience to the table, or a deeply empathetic approach honed through your own life journey? This clarity is foundational; it strengthens your self-belief & gives you the confidence to move forward. It's like knowing exactly where you're going on a road trip – you might hit traffic, but you won't get completely lost! Articulating Your Worth: Marketing with Authenticity (Flair) Once you're clear on your value, you need to communicate it effectively. This isn't about aggressive selling; it's about connection & building trust. Speak their language: Use words that resonate with your ideal client, addressing their specific challenges & aspirations. Instead of saying "increase conversions," try "attract more of those dream clients who are excited to work with you." Show, don't just tell: Share stories, testimonials, & examples of how you help. Let your passion shine through. Share a client's transformation, or recount your own journey of overcoming a similar challenge. Be consistent: Show up regularly where your ideal clients are. Consistency builds familiarity & trust, which are essential for someone to invest with you. Whether that’s showing up on Instagram with valuable content or delivering your regular newsletter. Your authentic voice is your most powerful marketing tool. You know that feeling when you connect with someone & instantly get them? That's what you want to create with your marketing. Building Repeatable Revenue: Systems for Sustainable Income (Flow & Fusion) This is where many entrepreneurs get stuck – they might make some money, but it’s sporadic & exhausting because they’re doing everything from scratch every single time. Map out your processes: From how a client discovers you, to how you onboard them, to how you deliver your service – what are the steps? Systemise & automate: Look for ways to streamline these processes. Can you use templates? Scheduling tools? Payment systems? For instance, I use Calendly to automate appointment bookings & Stripe to manage payments seamlessly. This is where leveraging smart AI tools can be a game-changer, taking repetitive tasks off your plate so you can focus on what you do best. Create clear pathways: Make it easy for people to work with you. Have clear offers & a simple way for them to say "yes!" Building these repeatable systems is what transforms effort into consistent, predictable revenue without you having to reinvent the wheel constantly. It's like having a well-oiled machine that hums along smoothly, even when you're not actively pushing every button. Fueling Your Financial Flourishing: The Non-Negotiable Role of Wellbeing (Fuel) I cannot stress this enough: your wellbeing is not a luxury; it’s a fundamental pillar of your earning potential. If you’re constantly tired, stressed, & on the verge of burnout, how can you possibly show up as your best self to serve your clients & grow your business? Prioritise rest & rejuvenation: It’s not selfish; it’s strategic. Set boundaries: Protect your time & energy. Nourish yourself: Mind, body, & soul. When you are well-fuelled, you have the clarity, creativity, & resilience to navigate the entrepreneurial journey & sustain your income-generating efforts for the long haul. Think of yourself as a high-performance athlete – you wouldn't expect to win a marathon without proper rest & nutrition, would you? I’ll be honest, ‘Fuel’ is a pillar I’ve personally struggled with at times. Trying to launch my business while also recovering from a C-section and taking care of four kids left me feeling completely depleted. It was only when I started prioritizing 30 minutes of quiet time each day that I began to see a real shift in my energy & focus. The Femmeprenista Philosophy: Earning with Purpose & Integrity Ultimately, moving from "wanting" to "earning" is about more than just the money. It's about building a business that reflects your values, leverages your unique genius, & allows you to make a meaningful impact while creating the financial stability & freedom you desire. It's about earning with purpose & integrity. Your unique skills, your vision, your lived experiences – these are incredibly valuable. When you combine them with strategic, consistent effort, a proactive mindset, & a commitment to taking ownership of your journey, you absolutely can create the income you desire & deserve. This journey isn't just about financial success; it's about personal fulfilment, creating a life you love, & perhaps even leaving a legacy. While strategically building income is vital, it's part of a larger journey towards holistic success, as we explore in our guide to Femmeprenista Female Entrepreneur Support: Find Your Purpose . It’s about building a business that truly flourishes, not just financially, but in every sense of the word. It’s about crafting a business that feels good to you. • Premium Pricing for Entrepreneurs: Scale to £10k+ Months

Breaking the £5k/Month Ceiling: Premium Pricing Strategies for Female Entrepreneurs Right, let's talk money, honey! Because let's be honest, nobody starts a business just for the love of spreadsheets. We want freedom, flexibility, and frankly, to be able to treat ourselves to something nice every now and then without checking the bank balance three times first. You know that feeling, right? Now, if you're an established female entrepreneur, a Scaling Leader in my Business Flourish Framework, you've likely hit a point where you're consistently bringing in decent revenue, maybe hovering around that £5k/month mark. But you know there's more in you, more impact you can make, & certainly more income you deserve. & You’re right! There was this one time, after my third child, when I was terrified of raising my rates. I thought I’d lose all my clients. Turns out, staying small out of fear kept me stuck earning less than I was worth and attracting clients who weren't the right fit. Big mistake. Huge. Learned that lesson the hard way! It was only when I realised that my true value wasn't in my time but in the transformation I provided that I finally broke through that fear. More on that later... The problem isn't necessarily more clients; it’s often about how you’re packaging & pricing your expertise. You’ve got the skills, the experience, & the passion – now let’s get strategic about how you present that amazing value to the world & command the premium prices you deserve. Let's dive in! Beyond Basic Pricing: Why Value is Your Superpower Remember that time you spent hours, maybe even all night, perfecting a presentation for a corporate client, only for them to suggest a minor tweak and take all the credit? Yeah, that feeling of being undervalued is exactly why so many of us ditch the corporate world and build our own empires. Been there! Remember how deflated that made me feel? It's that feeling of "I'm pouring so much in, but it's just not being recognized." Sound familiar? Thought so. But here's the sneaky thing: sometimes, even in our own businesses, we fall back into old patterns. We undercharge, we over-deliver, and we tie our worth to hourly rates instead of the transformative results we provide. Honestly, I think it's so easy to underestimate ourselves sometimes. In my early days of coaching, I was so worried about scaring clients away with higher prices that I ended up practically giving my services away. I crammed as much as I could into each session, working late into the night, convinced I had to over-deliver to justify even my low fees. The result? Total burnout. I was exhausted, resentful, & my bank balance wasn’t exactly thriving. That experience taught me a hard lesson: undervaluing yourself doesn't serve anyone. It doesn't serve your clients because they don't get the full power of your focused expertise, & it certainly doesn't serve you or your family. You know what I mean? It was like trying to run a marathon on an empty stomach – unsustainable, right? This reminds me of something Rory Sutherland, the Ogilvy "Godfather of behavioural science," often says: "Value can be created in the mind every bit as much as it can be created in the factory." This is so important because it reminds us that the perceived value of what we offer is just as important – maybe even more so – than the actual nuts & bolts of the service itself. According to a study by Bain & Company , companies that excel at customer experience grow revenues 4% to 8% above their market. That's the power of perceived value in action! Premium pricing reflects this. Think about it like this: a £50 bottle of wine might taste identical to a £15 bottle, but the experience, the story, the label, the whole shebang changes how we perceive it, & therefore, what we're willing to pay. You are the fine wine in this scenario, darling, not the supermarket plonk. So let's get you priced accordingly. Packaging Your Brilliance: Creating Irresistible Premium Offers This is where the magic happens. This isn't just about slapping a higher price tag on your existing offerings; it's about crafting irresistible packages that showcase your brilliance & make your ideal clients say "yes!" before they even finish reading the description. Tiered Offerings: Giving Your Clients Choices (& Boosting Your Income) Think good, better, best. This isn't about diluting your expertise; it's about giving your clients options that fit their budget & needs, while also creating different entry points into your world. This strategy is also reflected in the model of creating an Entry Offer, a Signature Offer, & an Ascension Offer, to cater to clients at different stages & deepen engagement with your business. Good: Maybe your “good” tier is a self-paced online course. Perfect for someone just dipping their toes into your world. Better: Your “better” tier could be a group coaching program, offering more support and community. Remember that feeling of belonging when you find your tribe? It’s powerful stuff. Best: Your “best” tier? That high-touch, one-on-one experience with all the bells and whistles. Think personalized attention & tailored strategies. Giving those options will also free you from the feast or famine cycle & bring you more predictable income. Just imagine being able to breathe a little easier knowing that consistent revenue is flowing in. Bliss! Recurring Revenue: The Gift That Keeps on Giving (You and Your Clients) Remember that feeling of landing a new client and then immediately worrying about where the next one is coming from? Yeah, that "feast or famine" cycle is exhausting, isn’t it? Recurring revenue models, like memberships or subscription-based services, provide a predictable income stream that allows you to breathe, plan strategically, & focus on serving your clients, not constantly chasing the next paycheck. Trust me, it’s a game-changer. It's like setting up a beautiful, self-watering garden – you nurture it initially, & then it flourishes with less constant attention. Value-Based Pricing: Charging What You're Truly Worth This is where so many of us get tripped up. We get caught in the "I don't want to scare them off with a high price" trap, forgetting that our ideal clients are not looking for cheap; they're looking for transformation. What problem are you solving for them? How is your expertise changing their lives? What's one transformation you bring to your clients? What is that transformation worth? Once you truly grasp the value you provide, pricing confidently becomes a natural next step. This resonates deeply with Adrienne Weimer's philosophy about shedding the "beginner" narrative and "making yourself a big deal". In fact, Weimer often challenges entrepreneurs to ask, "What is that transformation worth?" Handling Objections (Because They Will Come Up) Let's be real, some potential clients might balk at a higher price. But here's the secret weapon: clean curiosity. Instead of getting defensive, get genuinely interested in their hesitation. Ask empowering questions like, "What specifically is holding you back?" & "What would need to shift for this to feel like a clear yes?" Often, the objection isn't about the price; it's about an underlying fear or limiting belief. & As an empowering coach, you can gently guide them through that. This reminds me of something I learned during my coach training: sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is simply listen & reflect back what you hear. It helps the client clarify their own thoughts & often unlocks the solution themselves. It's not about you having all the answers; it's about holding space for them to discover theirs. Focusing on mindset is key here. Here are a few scripts you can use to navigate those tricky pricing conversations: Objection: "It's too expensive." Response: "I understand you feel that way. Many of my clients feel similarly before experiencing the transformation this programme offers. Often, they discover that the value they receive far outweighs the initial investment. What specifically makes you feel it's too expensive compared to the results you’d achieve?" Objection: "I need to think about it." Response: "Absolutely, taking time for important decisions is wise. What specifically do you need to think about? Perhaps we can explore that together now so you can feel confident in your decision today." Objection: "I've tried other programs & haven't gotten results." Response: "I hear that. It can be so frustrating to invest in something & not see the results you hoped for. What was missing for you in those other programmes? What specifically are you hoping to achieve this time?" This proactive, mindset-focused approach can significantly reduce anxiety and boost your confidence. Working Smarter, Not Harder: Leveraging AI for Efficiency (Fusion) This is one of my favourite topics because, as a busy mum myself (four kids, a PhD, two dogs – you get the picture!), I know the value of working smart, not just hard. AI isn’t just a futuristic buzzword; it's a practical tool that can streamline everything from marketing to client onboarding, freeing up your time & mental energy for the things that truly matter. Let's talk specifics! For instance, I often use AI to analyze social media trends and adjust my marketing strategy. It helps me stay ahead of the curve and speak directly to what my clients are struggling with right now. Imagine having an AI assistant that handles those repetitive tasks you dread: scheduling social media posts, sending personalized follow-up emails, even transcribing your podcasts or client calls. Tools like Jasper or Copy.ai can be a game-changer for creating marketing copy or generating content ideas when you're feeling uninspired. And for automating tasks, platforms like Zapier or IFTTT can create seamless workflows. This helps make consistent content creation possible for even the most time-poor entrepreneur. Remember, Fusion is all about practically integrating AI as an intelligent partner across all areas of your business. It's the modern application of working smarter, not harder, using technology to amplify results. What if, instead of being chained to your laptop all day, you could automate those tasks and actually be present for your kid's school play? That's the power of AI when used strategically. Ready to Scale to £10k+ Months? Building a thriving business that supports your dream lifestyle takes strategy, mindset, & a whole lot of self-belief. But the rewards are worth it. If you're ready to break through that £5k/month ceiling & step into your full potential as a Scaling Leader, I invite you to discover how my Momentum Coaching programme can support you. https://www.femmeprenista.com/momentum It's a deep dive into sustainable growth strategies, smart systems, mindset mastery, all tailored to your unique business & life. • AI Strategic Business Planning: A Femmeprenista's Guide

AI & Your Business Plan: A Femmeprenista's Guide to Strategic Planning, Not Just Prompting Alright, let's dive into business plans & AI. Because let's be real, the idea of AI whispering sweet nothings about strategy, promising a business plan sprinkled with unicorn dust… it's tempting, isn't it? I get it. As a busy mum juggling four kids, a PhD, and two slightly bonkers Miniature Pinschers (Cappuccino, the mum, is a zen master compared to Espresso, her puppy tornado), streamlining sounds like a dream. Especially when those tiny paws manage to shred important documents right before a deadline, forcing me to recreate half my financial projections. See, even I need systems – part of that essential Flow we talk about in the Business Flourish Framework – to manage this beautiful chaos! So, trust me, the allure of automation is real . But here's the thing: your business plan isn’t just a document; it’s a blueprint for your vision, an embodiment of your Flair, your unique magic. & AI, brilliant as it is, can’t replicate that . So, how do we navigate this brave new world of AI & strategic planning? How do we leverage this power without losing our unique sparkle, our authentic brand voice, our special entrepreneurial sauce? That’s what we’re exploring today, adding a touch of Femmeprenista wisdom – informed by years in the corporate trenches, the lessons from launching my own ventures (remember Nisbett & George? So many lessons learned there!), and the insights from my PhD research – to make AI work for you. AI: Your Strategic Sidekick, Not Your CEO Think of AI as your super-efficient research assistant, your number-crunching guru, your competitor-analyzing ninja. It’s brilliant for boosting your Flow, streamlining tasks so you can focus on what truly matters: Market Research Deep Dive: Want to know what your ideal client is really thinking, beyond the surface level? AI can sift through data, identify trends, & uncover those hidden needs – crucial for your Flair, your unique marketing magic. It's like having a 24/7 focus group. Competitor Analysis on Steroids: AI can analyze competitor strategies, pricing, & marketing in a flash, giving you a strategic edge. Financial Projections with a Crystal Ball (Kind Of): AI can help you create realistic financial forecasts based on different scenarios. But, & this is crucial, AI is a tool. You are the strategist. You are the visionary. Your unique Focus, your mindset, is what drives your business. It’s like those early days selling sweets in the playground – I was the CEO, figuring out pricing, demand, & striking deals. AI can’t replace that entrepreneurial spark. The Heart of Your Plan: Your Vision, Values, & "Why" Before prompting an AI, get crystal clear on your business core – this is pure Focus, defining your entrepreneurial North Star: Define Your North Star (Your "Why"): What impact do you want to make? This fuels your Flair, your Flow, your entire business. My "why" for Femmeprenista? Empowering women to build businesses that honor their lives. Uncover Your Core Values: What principles guide you? These values shape your decisions & attract your tribe. Know Your Ideal Client Inside Out: Who are you serving? What are their desires, pain points? This deep understanding fuels your Flair – how you connect, communicate, and craft irresistible offers. This is where you shine. This is the human element AI can't replicate. Need help? Our Business Flourish Framework guides you through this crucial Focus work, laying the foundation for a truly flourishing business. Marrying AI with Your Strategic Genius: A Femmeprenista's Approach How do we blend AI's power & your human brilliance? This is about Fusion, integrating cutting-edge tech with your unique Flair: Lay the Foundation (Focus First): Deep inner work first . Define your vision, values, ideal client. Like when I was wrestling with the decision to move the family to Malaysia – I had to get clear on our why before the how . That clarity is essential for every business decision, big or small. Strategic Prompting, Not Just Asking: Don't just ask AI to "write my business plan." Give specific prompts. Instead of "write my marketing plan," try, "Give me 10 headline ideas for a free masterclass on overcoming imposter syndrome," or "draft five email subject lines to re-engage leads who abandoned their cart." Another example? "Create three different Instagram caption templates for promoting my new coaching program for Scaling Leaders." The more specific you are, the more useful the output. This is about using AI to support your Flair, not replace it. Critique & Refine with Your Human Lens: AI is a tool, not a guru. Critically evaluate, refine with your insights. Early on, I almost published a blog post generated entirely by AI, thinking it was a time-saving miracle. It was… generic, lifeless, and totally lacked my voice! Trust me, Foundation Builders, that "almost posted that" cringe is real . Now, I use AI for research, brainstorming, even first drafts – but I am the final editor, always. It’s crucial to filter everything through your unique Flair, your authentic brand voice. Infuse Your Brand Identity (Flair!): Make the plan yours . Infuse it with your personality, values, your voice. AI can't do this. AI might generate a grammatically perfect social media post, but it needs my voice, my stories – like the time Espresso decided to redecorate the living room with shredded tax documents five minutes before a client call – to make it resonate. That's true Fusion - your authentic brand identity amplified by smart tech. Integrate, Don’t Just Append: Seamlessly weave AI insights into your overall strategy. Your business plan, like any good system within the Business Flourish Framework, is a living document, not a static artifact. It reflects your evolving vision & market. From Plan to Action: Making it Happen Your business plan is your roadmap. What’s your next step, Foundation Builder? Feeling overwhelmed? I so get it. Our Spark Program guides you through idea validation, niche clarity, & building a solid action plan. It’s a supportive space to ask those “silly” questions, get guidance, & connect with amazing women. Ready to take your business to the next level? Want to validate your business idea & build a rock-solid foundation? Our Spark Program helps Foundation Builders like you gain clarity, define your niche, & attract those first clients. Carlene Nisbett Founder & CEO, Femmeprenista Wife, Mother of four, Business Owner, PhD Researcher, Pet mom, Plant mom, 5'0" tall Passionate Multitasker & Wine Lover, You get the drift P.S. • productivity for mum entrepreneurs: Tame Chaos & Thrive

Making "Mum Time" Mean Business Time: Taming the Beautiful Chaos for Maximum Productivity Ever feel like you’re trying to build an empire during nap time & conquer the world between CBeebies breaks? Let’s be honest, the life of a female entrepreneur who's also a mum isn't exactly a serene meditation retreat. It's more like a beautiful, slightly chaotic adventure where your to-do list is constantly competing with a toddler demanding snacks and a puppy who thinks your laptop is a chew toy. And that’s okay. Because I’m right there with you. Honestly, with four kids, a PhD in progress (yes, really!), two miniature pinchers who are the furry embodiment of chaos – I know exactly what it’s like to feel like you’re constantly context-switching between board meetings and potty training. It’s funny, because sometimes I feel like I need a translator just to understand what my toddler is saying! Just the other day, I was on a Google Meet call, desperately trying to explain the intricacies of a sales funnel to a client while my two-year-old babbled away in the background, occasionally interjecting with her own unique brand of "toddler business advice." Let's just say, it wasn't exactly a Harvard Business Review case study in effective communication. Trying to maintain professional composure while simultaneously deciphering "ga-ga goo-goo" into something resembling a coherent business strategy – that's the real juggle, right? You know that feeling? But here’s the thing: I also know that it IS possible to build a thriving business within those fragmented moments. It's not about finding perfect “balance” (mythical creature alert!) but about maximizing those pockets of focused time with ruthless efficiency. It’s about shifting your mindset from overwhelmed to empowered and strategically leveraging those unconventional “office hours” as your secret weapon. This post is primarily for Foundation Builders and those just starting to scale, navigating the early stages of building a business while managing the beautiful chaos of motherhood. So, let’s ditch the guilt and embrace the real. What's one small step you can take today to reclaim some sanity & make those mini-moments count? Share below - I'm betting there are some hilarious stories waiting to be told. Reframing the Chaos: From Overwhelm to Opportunity So, how do you turn the beautiful chaos into a productivity powerhouse? It all starts with a mindset shift. This aligns with the 'Focus' pillar of the Business Flourish Framework, which is all about building a resilient mindset, gaining clarity, and taking ownership of your mental game. Instead of viewing those fragmented moments as a hindrance, start seeing them as opportunities. Yes, the system has its flaws (believe me, I've seen it firsthand, both in corporate & trying to navigate school holidays without extensive local support – who thought 12-13 weeks off was a good idea?). But what if the real power lies not in blaming the system, but in figuring out how you can navigate it? What if those tiny pockets of time, the ones between tantrums and urgent Paw Patrol emergencies, were actually your secret weapon? I remember a time when my youngest was just a few months old and I was recovering from my fourth C-section, simultaneously trying to juggle client calls, PhD research, and the general mayhem of a house full of kids and pets. Honestly, it felt like I was constantly treading water, never quite catching a breath. One particularly memorable morning, I was trying to finalise a presentation for a new client. My husband had promised to take the kids to the park, which would have given me a precious two hours of focused time. I had my slides open, notes spread out, coffee brewed – the whole shebang. Then, 15 minutes before the call, he announced he had a last-minute meeting. The park trip was off. My vision of peaceful productivity vanished faster than a toddler with a chocolate biscuit. My heart sank. I wanted to cry, scream, and possibly launch my laptop across the room. It was in that moment, amidst the rising tide of overwhelm, that I realised something had to change. It wasn't the system's fault; it was my reliance on it. I had put all my eggs in the external support basket, and it had fallen apart. This led to a complete re-evaluation of how I approached time management, childcare arrangements, and my own sense of self-reliance. It was a painful but incredibly valuable lesson in taking ownership of my schedule and not externalizing responsibility for my success. The key was to stop focusing on what I couldn’t do and to hone in on what I could do, even if it was just for 15 minutes during nap time or while the older kids were engrossed in their favourite show. Reflections informed by my ongoing PhD research into Black female entrepreneurship often highlight this theme of resourcefulness and adapting to constraints. It's a "make it work" mentality, not a victim mentality. That’s when I began to truly understand the power of taking ownership of my time, however fragmented it might be. It's about claiming your power, building a system that works for YOU, and becoming the CEO of your own schedule. The Power of Focus: Short Bursts, Big Impact One of the most transformative strategies I’ve implemented is the Pomodoro Technique. Essentially, you work in focused 25-minute bursts with short breaks in between. This can work wonders, even during those short windows when you know interruptions are a real possibility. I'll often grab a quick 25 minutes while the baby naps to outline a blog post or map out a social media strategy. Knowing I have a limited window actually makes me more focused! It’s funny because it almost feels like I'm trying to beat the clock! The other day, I managed to draft an entire email sequence during one Pomodoro while my six-year-old was building a fort (though I did have to pause briefly to admire the architectural genius of a pillow-and-blanket masterpiece). Don't underestimate the power of these short bursts. Small, consistent action compounds over time. Remember Ali Abdaal’s advice – consistency over intensity. It's the tortoise, not the hare, who wins the entrepreneurial race, especially when you're juggling a family. Small, focused wins, repeated consistently, are your path to long-term success. Building Your Productivity Toolkit for the Juggle Here are some more of my go-to strategies for maximizing those precious pockets of time: Time Blocking like a Boss: I swear by time blocking! Schedule everything – work tasks, family time, even those essential moments for self-care (yes, even a 10-minute bubble bath counts!). Treat those blocked-off work slots as non-negotiable appointments. For example, last Tuesday, I blocked out 9:30-10:30 AM for "Client Strategy Session Prep." Even though the laundry pile was calling my name & the dogs were performing their synchronized begging routine, I stuck to my schedule. The result? I walked into that client call feeling confident & prepared, ready to deliver my A-game. Theme Your Days: Assign specific themes to your days (e.g., Mondays for client work, Wednesdays for content creation, Fridays for strategic planning). This creates mental clarity & helps you batch similar tasks together for greater efficiency. This week, for instance, I dedicated Wednesday to content creation. This meant all my energy, from the first coffee to the final "wine o'clock" unwind, was focused on writing, filming, & scheduling content. It’s amazing how much more you can achieve when your brain isn't constantly switching gears between different types of tasks. Brain Dump & Prioritize: Start each work session with a quick brain dump – list everything you need to do, no matter how small. Then, ruthlessly prioritize the 2-3 most important tasks for that specific time slot. A classic mistake is to create an endless to-do list & then feel overwhelmed by its sheer length. Instead, ask yourself, “What are the 2-3 absolute MUST-DOs for this specific Pomodoro?” Focusing on achievable wins within a defined timeframe is key. Eliminate Distractions (as much as humanly possible!): I know it can feel like mission impossible with kids & pets demanding your attention, but during those focused work sprints, try to minimize distractions as much as you can. Turn off notifications, put your phone on silent, let the family know you need a few minutes of uninterrupted time. As Rory Sutherland mentions, the uncertainty of a taxi wait time is often more stressful than the wait itself. Applying this principle to the entrepreneurial juggle, how can you reduce the "uncertainty" of distractions during your focused work periods? It might mean setting clear expectations with family members ("Mummy needs 25 minutes of quiet time to finish this task"), creating a designated workspace (even if it's just a corner of the kitchen table), or using noise-cancelling headphones. It’s about creating small pockets of predictability in the midst of the chaos. It might not be silent, but by minimizing interruptions, you enhance both focus & productivity. Embrace the Power of "No": Learning to say “no” to anything that doesn't directly support your business goals or your wellbeing is essential for creating the space you need. This is about protecting your energy & your time, your most valuable assets. Delegate or Automate: As you scale, look for areas you can delegate or automate. Smart AI tools can be lifesavers when it comes to things like social media scheduling, email marketing, or even transcribing your notes. (Remember, working smarter, not just harder!). The 'Fusion' element of the Business Flourish Framework is all about strategically integrating these AI-powered solutions to amplify your efforts & free up your precious time. Link to: Business Flourish Framework Turning Limiting Beliefs into Launching Pads Now, let’s talk about those pesky limiting beliefs that can creep in & sabotage your efforts. We all have them! One of the biggest hurdles I see female entrepreneurs struggle with is the belief that they should be able to do it all, perfectly. I've definitely been there. I remember, after the birth of my second daughter, feeling completely overwhelmed trying to balance motherhood, my MBA at Cranfield (a seriously intense program!), & the beginnings of my business. I was constantly comparing myself to other mums who seemed to have it all together – the perfectly organized homes, the effortlessly stylish outfits, the thriving careers. I felt like a complete failure. I’d find myself thinking, “Why can’t I do this? Am I just not cut out for this?” These negative thoughts became a vicious cycle, feeding my self-doubt & paralyzing me from taking action. What I didn't realize at the time was that I was operating from what Adrienne Weimer calls a “To Me (Victimhood)” level of consciousness, blaming myself & external circumstances for my struggles. It was only when I actively started challenging those negative thoughts & reframing my identity as a capable, resourceful entrepreneur that things began to shift. This is the essence of what she calls “Identity Alchemy” – transforming yourself into the person who achieves their vision. So, my advice? Ditch the shoulds! Embrace the perfectly imperfect reality of your life & focus on making progress, not perfection. It's about progress, not perfection! Challenge those negative thoughts when they pop up (and they will!). Ask yourself, "Is this thought actually true, or is it just fear masquerading as logic?" Often, those negative whispers are just fear wearing a sensible outfit. Dig deeper. What's the real fear underneath? Are you afraid of failing, of succeeding, of being judged? Identifying the root of the fear is the first step to dismantling its power. For instance, if you catch yourself thinking “I’m not experienced enough to charge premium prices,” dig deeper. Is it truly a lack of experience, or is it a fear of being called out or not delivering? Try reframing that belief to "I have valuable skills and knowledge that deserve to be compensated fairly. My unique experience is an asset, not a liability." Ask yourself: "What would my future, successful self say to me right now?" Would she let fear hold her back, or would she charge forward with confidence? Visualizing your future self, confident & thriving, can be a powerful motivator. This is something I learned from José Silva's work on mind control techniques; it’s about actively shaping your reality through your thoughts and beliefs. Finally, reframe the situation. Instead of thinking, “I don’t have enough time,” try thinking, “How can I be more resourceful with the time I do have?” This small shift in perspective moves you from victim mode to solution mode, unlocking your creative problem-solving abilities. It's like my dad always told me: "Hard work beats intelligence when it's smart work." Join a supportive community. Connecting with other female entrepreneurs who understand the unique challenges you face can be incredibly validating & empowering. This is precisely why I created Femme Connect , a safe, supportive space for women entrepreneurs, especially mothers, to connect, share their wins & struggles, & navigate this journey together. We've got masterclasses on everything from time management to mastering tech (no jargon allowed!), accountability partners to keep you on track, & a whole lot of "been there, mama" empathy. Link to: Femme:Connect Community Page From Scattered to Strategic: Building a System for Success Building a business within the fragmented moments of motherhood requires a system. My own journey from chaotic "one-eyeliner-on" mornings & constant interruptions to running a thriving business with kids, pets, & a PhD in tow has been a testament to the power of systems. Here are a few practical "Juggler's Shortcuts" for you to build into your routine: Batching is Your Best Friend: Dedicate specific blocks of time to similar tasks (e.g., recording all your social media videos in one go, writing several blog posts during a dedicated writing sprint). This week, for instance, I batched all my social media content creation for the next two weeks. It took a dedicated two-hour block (during which my teenage daughter graciously agreed to supervise the younger ones – a rare miracle!), but now I have a whole fortnight's worth of posts ready to go. It’s a huge time-saver & allows me to be more strategic with my content planning. Utilize Tech Tools: Explore user-friendly project management tools like Trello or Asana to keep your tasks organized & your progress visible. There are also fantastic AI-powered tools available now that can help you automate repetitive tasks & truly maximize your efficiency. What started as a simple Trello board for managing my own tasks has evolved into a sophisticated system for our entire team, integrating various automation & AI tools to streamline everything from client onboarding to content scheduling. It’s been game-changing for our productivity & allows us to work smarter, not harder. It's like Layla Hormozi says, "Your business needs to serve your life, not the other way around." Outsource Strategically: As you grow, consider outsourcing tasks that drain your energy or that you’re not particularly skilled at (e.g., graphic design, bookkeeping, social media management). This frees up your time to focus on your core strengths & income-generating activities. A few months ago, I finally took the plunge & outsourced our social media graphics. It was a "stretchy" investment initially, but the time & energy it freed up has been invaluable, allowing me to focus on high-impact activities like client strategy & content creation. Work-Life Integration is an Ongoing Experiment: Finding what works for you & your family will involve trial & error. Be patient with yourself. What worked when your kids were toddlers might need to be adjusted as they get older. The key is to keep experimenting & refining your systems. Remember, building a thriving business within the "beautiful chaos" is absolutely possible. It's not about magically finding more time; it’s about using the time you have more strategically, effectively, & joyfully. It’s about embracing the unexpected interruptions, celebrating the small wins, & building a system that supports your vision, however unconventional it might be. "Learn how to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want," as Jim Rohn wisely advises. Even with all these strategies in place, some days the juggle still feels overwhelming. Just last week, I found myself staring at my to-do list, feeling the familiar panic rising, despite having meticulously time-blocked my day. I took a deep breath, reminded myself that progress, not perfection, is the goal (a key "Belief of Excellence" from Sue Knight’s NLP teachings), and prioritized just ONE task. That small act of self-compassion and focused action was enough to break the paralysis and get me back on track. • Finding Fulfillment: Entrepreneurship for Mums & Beautiful Chaos

Finding Fulfillment in the Beautiful Chaos: The Unspoken Joys of Entrepreneurship as a Mum Hey lovely ladies, especially those of you Scaling Leaders navigating the messy middle of building your business & raising a family, Ever feel like you're juggling flaming torches while riding a unicycle, all while trying to look effortlessly chic? Welcome to the beautiful chaos of being a mum & an entrepreneur! It's a wild ride, & I'm right there with you, navigating the whirlwind with my four little cherubs & two equally energetic miniature pinschers. Just last week, I was trying to finish my PhD chapter, soothe a teething baby, and prep for a Momentum Coaching call, all while Espresso, my hyperactive puppy, decided to redecorate the living room with a roll of toilet paper. It’s a whole circus at my place, let me tell you! It’s those moments when I think, "Okay, deep breaths, how can I systematize this craziness so it doesn’t all fall apart?". You're probably reading this with one eye on a toddler who's discovered the joys of finger painting on the wall (with yoghurt, naturally) & the other on your inbox that's overflowing faster than my toddler’s bath time bubble explosion. & somewhere in between, you're trying to build a business, a legacy, a future you can be proud of. Seriously, where do we even find the time?! I get it! I’ve been there so, so many times and know exactly what it’s like. One morning I was so behind schedule, desperately trying to get ready for a Momentum Coaching call that absolutely could not be missed and my youngest decided the dog's water bowl was a new indoor paddling pool. Let’s just say I barely made that call, soaking wet hair, one contact lens in, while Espresso "helped" by barking excitedly at every passing car, and Cappuccino, her more sensible mother, simply rolled her eyes. Talk about messy middle! That’s my reality. That's our reality, and that's okay. We're in this together! We see the perfectly curated Instagram feeds, the "boss babe" hashtags, and the seemingly effortless success stories. But how often do we hear about the real, messy, beautiful truth of entrepreneurship as a mother? The snatched moments of focused work between school runs & bedtime stories, the mental load of a million to-dos, and the profound exhaustion of pouring your heart into both family & business. My PhD research into women's entrepreneurship really underscores how isolating and overwhelming this juggle can be. It’s a theme I’m actively exploring in my doctoral research - the incredible resilience and resourcefulness of women entrepreneurs who not only manage this chaos but also create incredible businesses within it. It's time we celebrate this beautiful chaos, acknowledge the deep joy & fulfillment of building something truly yours while nurturing the little humans (and furry friends) who depend on you. Because this isn't just about a business; it's about building a life you love. So, grab your lukewarm cuppa (or that well-deserved glass of wine!), and let's dive into the heart of what makes this journey so uniquely rewarding. Beyond the Hustle: Finding Your "Why" in the Mess The pressure to "hustle" is everywhere. But if my journey, juggling four kids, a PhD, and a growing business has taught me anything, it's that sustainable success comes from working smart , not just hard. It's about aligning your actions with your deepest "why." That driving force that keeps you going even when the metaphorical (or literal!) yoghurt hits the wall. I'm a Gemini, so you know I'm always seeking that better way! As Simon Sinek so wisely said, "People don't buy WHAT you do; they buy WHY you do it." This is especially true for us female entrepreneurs. Our "why" is often interwoven with our families, our desire for flexibility & autonomy, our yearning to create something meaningful. Connecting with that core purpose makes the challenges less daunting & the late nights less draining. What’s your "why"? What keeps you going? For me, a huge part of my "why" is about creating a legacy for my kids and showing them what’s possible when you blend passion, hard work & smart systems. Want some clarity & support on your journey? The Spark program is designed to help you solidify your foundation and gain crystal-clear clarity on your niche and ideal client. Learn more about the Spark program The Superpower of Mum-Brain: Resilience, Creativity, & Laser Focus Multitasking might be a myth, but mum-brain? That's a real superpower! We're Olympic-level context-switchers, flipping between business strategy and potty training with practiced ease. This constant juggling hones unique skills. Here’s how mum-brain actually makes us better business owners: Prioritization Ninja: We learn to laser focus on what truly matters (like that urgent client email) and what can wait (like alphabetizing the spice rack). Resilience Rockstar: If we can handle a toddler tantrum in aisle 7 of Tesco during a downpour, we can handle anything business throws at us. Creativity Queen: Limited resources & a "make it work" mentality become a breeding ground for creative solutions (I’ve MacGyvered more toys out of household items than I can count). Empathy Extraordinaire: Deeply understanding our children's needs translates to intuitive insights into our clients' emotional worlds. We become masters of prioritization, differentiating between the urgent and the important (like the toddler who’s decided the oven mitts are new chew toys just as the timer for dinner goes off). We develop superhero-level resilience. Trust me, a tricky client email is nothing compared to a toddler meltdown in Tesco! & our creativity? Let's just say we could give MacGyver a run for his money. Ever built a spaceship out of cardboard boxes & duct tape? Yup, that's us. The Gift of Imperfect Action: Embracing the "Good Enough" Perfectionism is the enemy of progress, lovely ladies! We simply don't have the bandwidth for perfection in every area. "Good enough" is often a massive win. Remember, progress over perfection! Getting that blog post out, even if it’s not Pulitzer-prize winning, is better than it languishing in drafts forever. Trust me, learning to be okay with "done" is a total game changer. Embracing the messy middle is embracing our authenticity, after all. Building Your Village: The Power of Community & Support This entrepreneurial journey can be a lonely one. It’s easy to feel like you’re the only one trying to figure out this crazy balancing act of business & motherhood. Building your support network is essential. Connect with other amazing women who get it . Our Femme:Connect community is a judgment-free zone to share struggles, celebrate wins, and realize you are NOT alone in this chaotic, beautiful adventure. A quick chat with another entrepreneur who’s cleaned yoghurt off the wall (or untangled a toddler from the curtains, or deciphered why the dog is suddenly wearing a tea cosy) can remind you you've got this. Building a support village is a non-negotiable for sustainable success. Need a dose of support and inspiration right now? Connect with our amazing community at Femme:Connect . We're here for you, every step of the way! Connect with Femme:Connect Taking Ownership of Your Journey: The Path to Fulfilment The school holidays are ridiculously long (12–13 weeks, seriously?!), childcare costs a small fortune, and according to a recent study by , 80% of working mothers feel societal pressure to excel in both career & parenting. I know it's not easy. The system often feels rigged against us. But what if the real power lies in deciding how you navigate this reality? Here are three actionable ways to take ownership, even amidst the chaos: Delegate: What three tasks could you delegate this week—either to a VA, a partner, or even an older child—to free up some mental space & energy? Automate: Explore one AI tool (like a scheduler or social media management platform) that could streamline your workflow & reclaim precious time. Prioritize: Identify your top three income-generating activities & schedule dedicated time for them this week. Treat these slots as non-negotiable CEO time. Building a business around your family is about owning your time, your energy, & your future. Yes, it’s messy and exhausting, but it's also profoundly fulfilling. Taking responsibility for your own progress, even within a system that often feels like it's working against you, is the key to lasting success. You are the captain of your ship, even in choppy waters. Your Two-Step Action Plan for Today: Connect: Carve out 15 minutes to engage with the Femme:Connect community. Share a win, ask a question, or simply offer support to another female entrepreneur. Need help navigating the school holiday juggle? Looking for accountability partners or simple tech solutions that don’t require a computer science degree? Femme:Connect is your go-to resource. Connect with Femme:Connect Focus: Schedule a dedicated 30-minute block for focused work on one important business task. Treat it as a non-negotiable appointment. No kids, no distractions. Even if you don’t achieve everything on your list, you’re moving forward intentionally. Ready to scale your business & create a life you truly love, without burning out in the process? • Speak Up in Meetings Women: Own Your Voice & Be Heard

Finding Your Voice: How to Speak Up & Be Heard in Meetings Ever feel like you’re in a meeting, bursting with brilliant ideas, but somehow, your voice just… disappears? Like you’re trying to speak underwater, and the words just won’t break the surface? It's a bit like trying to pitch a million-dollar idea while simultaneously preventing your toddler daughter from using the dog's water bowl as a hat – talk about feeling unheard! It's a common struggle, and honestly, love, I've been there. So many times. It’s that frustrating feeling of knowing you have something valuable to contribute, but somehow, the message gets lost in the noise, or worse, completely overlooked. The Business Flourish Framework helps women own their voice & be heard. But here’s the thing: your voice, your expertise, your perspective – they are invaluable. The world needs to hear what you have to say. & more importantly, your business needs it. So, how do we break through that underwater feeling & make sure our ideas are not only heard but truly respected ? Strategies for Speaking Up Effectively Let’s start with the basics, the nuts & bolts of making your voice heard in any meeting, whether it's a boardroom full of suits or a virtual huddle with your team. Prepare & Prime: This isn't just about knowing your stuff (although that's important too!). It's about owning it. Before the meeting, clarify your key points. What are the two or three core messages you absolutely must convey? Write them down. Rehearse them out loud, even if it feels a bit silly. It’s the prep work that lays the foundation for confident delivery – like building a solid website before launching your online course. Speaking of which, my Ready-to-Launch Kit can help with that if tech feels overwhelming. Find out more here . And if you are leading the meeting? Agenda is key! Like my personal workaholic always says, proper preparation prevents poor performance. Finding your voice starts from within. Strategic Positioning (Even Virtually): Where you sit (or appear on screen) matters. Aim for a spot that allows you to make eye contact with key decision-makers. This subtly reinforces your presence & makes it harder to be overlooked. Remember that old trick I used in uni presentations? Bright colours, front row! Same principle applies. Remember, finding your voice is about being seen as well as heard. What small steps can you take to get more strategically positioned? Finding your voice also means owning your space. Speak Early & Often: Don't wait for the "perfect" moment to contribute – it might never come! Jump in early with a comment, a question, or a brief summary of your perspective. This establishes your presence & gets your voice flowing. Even something like, "Great question," & re-stating it in your own words can add value. For example, if someone asks about next quarter's projections, you could jump in early with a brief observation about the previous week's results, linking it to the larger projection discussion. Speaking up, even in small ways, keeps you present in the conversation. Project Confidence (Even When You Don't Feel It): This is where mindset is crucial! Your body language, your tone of voice – they all speak volumes. Sit up straight, make eye contact, & speak clearly & concisely. Even if you’re feeling like an imposter (and who hasn’t been there?!), act like the confident expert you are. Fake it ‘til you make it, right? Works every time. Remember, you get to choose how you show up. Embrace that! Finding your voice starts from within. Like Lisa Nichols says, fill your own cup. Your confidence starts with you. Finding your voice is also about owning your expertise. Navigating Interruptions & Bias (With Grace & Steel) Now, let’s talk about the trickier stuff. The subtle (& not-so-subtle) biases that can make it even harder for women to be heard, particularly in male-dominated environments. For the "Scaling Leader," finding your voice in these situations can be extra challenging. The Interruption Interception: This is a classic, isn’t it? You’re mid-sentence, building momentum, & BAM! Someone talks right over you. Don't let it slide. Politely but firmly reclaim your space. A simple "I'd like to finish my thought" can be surprisingly effective. Or, "I wasn't quite finished sharing my perspective." It's not about being aggressive; it's about valuing your contribution. If it's a recurring theme, address it directly but calmly: "I've noticed I'm being interrupted frequently; I'd appreciate the space to fully contribute." You are not being demanding; you are commanding respect. The Credit Claimer Counter: Ever had an idea subtly “borrowed” by someone else & presented as their own? Ugh. This one stings, doesn’t it? Documentation is your best defense here. "As I mentioned in my email on Tuesday…" Or, a more conversational approach: "Building on what we discussed before, my thought is…" This gently reminds everyone of your original contribution. Finding your voice also means owning your ideas. The Dismissal Deflector: Sometimes, despite your best efforts, an idea is dismissed or overlooked. Don't internalize it! It's not a reflection of your worth; it's often just a mismatch in communication styles or priorities. Reframe the situation. Is there another way to present your point? Can you gather supporting data? Finding your voice sometimes involves adapting your approach, staying persistent. This isn't about giving up; it's about finding a way to make your message truly land . Like Sue Knight's NLP principle: "There is no failure, only feedback." Every dismissal is a chance to refine your delivery & strategy. As my Wood Tiger side always pushes, stay curious. Finding your voice is about resilience. Leading Your Own Meetings: A Powerful Shift Feeling unheard repeatedly? Perhaps it’s time to take the reins & lead your own meetings! This is where you set the agenda, control the flow, & create an environment where everyone feels heard & respected. Create a Clear Agenda & Objectives: What is the purpose of this meeting? What outcomes do you want to achieve? A well-defined agenda keeps the discussion focused & productive, preventing those meandering conversations that drain everyone's energy. Finding your voice as a leader often starts with clear communication & focused goals. Establish Ground Rules (Especially for Inclusive Discussions): This could be as simple as "one person speaks at a time" or, for a more structured approach, "We will use a talking stick to ensure everyone has a chance to speak." Or, how about, "Everyone gets two minutes to share their top priority for the project, uninterrupted." Ground rules, especially when agreed upon upfront, foster an environment of mutual respect. Finding your voice sometimes means first creating a space for others to do the same. Active Listening & Facilitation: As the leader, your role is to guide the conversation, ensure everyone has a chance to speak, & actively listen to all contributions. This creates a culture of respect & fosters collaboration. For the "Scaling Leader", mastering these skills is crucial for building high-performing teams. If you’re a “Scaling Leader” looking for support in developing these leadership skills, our Momentum Coaching program can help. It’s designed specifically for entrepreneurs like you who are ready to take their business (& their leadership) to the next level. Finding your voice is also about empowering others. Taking Ownership of Your Voice & Impact Ultimately, speaking up & being heard is about more than just getting your ideas across in a meeting. It's about owning your expertise, your value, & your impact. It's about stepping into your power as a leader & recognising that your voice matters – not just in the boardroom, but in the world. I remember early in my career, at Apple, feeling like my ideas weren't taken seriously. There was one product launch meeting where I'd spent weeks preparing market analysis, only to have my presentation completely dismissed by a senior manager without a single question or comment. It felt like a punch to the gut, and I seriously questioned if I even belonged in that room. It was so frustrating. I eventually realized that if I wanted my voice to be heard, I had to find a way to present my ideas with more confidence & data. It took some trial & error, but that experience actually shaped my leadership style & inspired a whole module in Momentum Coaching on empowering communication – we dig deep into that. Finding your voice can be a journey. It can feel daunting, I know. Especially when we’re juggling businesses, families, pets who think the sofa is a trampoline (Espresso, I’m looking at you!), & everything else life throws our way. But I promise you, it's worth it. Your voice has the power to change things. Don't let it be silenced. Speaking up is a skill you hone, like anything else. & honestly, it becomes easier over time with practice & a bit of strategic planning. What’s one small step you can take today to start reclaiming your voice? Share it in the comments below. Let’s support each other on this journey. It’s always easier when we do it together, right? • Holistic KPIs: Sustainable Growth Guide for Femmeprenistas

Beyond the Bank Balance: Holistic KPIs for Truly Sustainable Growth (And How Scaling Leaders Master Them) Alright, lovely. Let’s have a real chat, CEO to CEO, mum to mum. You’re scaling. The revenue figures are climbing, & that little thrill when you check the bank? Absolutely deserved. You’ve poured your heart, soul, & probably more late nights than you can count into this business. But if you’re anything like me, or the incredible Scaling Leaders I work with, there’s sometimes a niggle, isn’t there? A feeling that even with the money coming in, something’s… incomplete. Perhaps you’re wondering if this pace is truly sustainable, or if the numbers on the screen are telling you the whole story about your business's health, especially when you’re juggling it all with family life. See, so often, we’re laser-focused on that top-line revenue. And don’t get me wrong, it’s undeniably important. But relying only on your bank balance to gauge success? That, my friend, can be a wee bit like trying to navigate a ship with just one instrument on the dashboard. It gives you some information, but it doesn't show you the currents, the weather ahead, or the state of the engine room. For truly sustainable, fulfilling entrepreneurship, we need a more holistic view. If you're keen to understand more about building a business that aligns with your deeper purpose from the get-go, you might find some food for thought in how we approach Femmeprenista Female Entrepreneur Support: Find Your Purpose . The Seductive Siren Song of Revenue (And Its Hidden Rocks) It’s completely understandable why revenue takes centre stage. It’s tangible. It’s (relatively) easy to track. Society often equates it directly with success. When you’re an ambitious woman in business, especially if you’ve taken the leap from a corporate world where your contribution wasn't always directly tied to your name (I’ve been there!), seeing those sales figures grow can feel incredibly validating. It’s proof that you’re making it happen. But here’s the thing: revenue alone can be a bit of a mirage. It can mask a multitude of sins lurking beneath the surface. I’ve seen businesses, & even experienced aspects in past ventures, where the turnover looked impressive, but underneath, the foundations were creaky. Perhaps client acquisition costs were spiralling, customer satisfaction was dipping, or the team (even if that team was just 'me, myself, and I' back then!) was teetering on the brink of burnout. Chasing revenue at all costs, without looking at the bigger picture, is a fast track to an unsustainable model, & frankly, a business that might not feel all that joyful to run in the long term. As someone juggling a PhD – research that informs my understanding of the unique pressures on Black female entrepreneurship & how to build genuinely resilient businesses – four amazing children, & this business I adore, believe me when I say sustainability isn't just a buzzword; it's a lifeline. In fact, I recall a time back at Apple when I felt like a 'cog,' pushing for revenue goals without any real recognition of the personal cost. I knew then that I needed something different. Why Holistic KPIs Are Your Secret Weapon for Sustainable Scaling This is where taking personal responsibility as a strategic leader truly comes into play. It’s about having the courage & wisdom to look beyond the obvious, to dig a little deeper. For you, the driven Scaling Leader – that’s our Amy-Type, the established business owner actively scaling towards that £1k-£10k+/month mark & beyond, hungry for more but also craving that ever-elusive work-life integration – holistic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are not just ‘nice-to-haves’. They are essential. Why? Because they give you: The Full Picture: You get genuine insight into what’s really going on in your business. Early Warning System: You can spot potential issues before they become critical, allowing you to be proactive, not reactive. This is gold for preventing that dreaded burnout. Smarter Decisions: Armed with better data, you make more strategic choices about where to invest your time, energy, & resources. Sustainable Growth: You build a business that can grow strong & steady, without sacrificing your well-being, your team’s morale, or your long-term vision. It’s about creating something that truly energises rather than drains you. Tracking these broader metrics isn’t just about collecting data for data’s sake. It’s about understanding the intricate dance of your business, so you can lead it with more grace, wisdom, & foresight. It’s about building a business that supports your life, not the other way around – a core philosophy we champion here at Femmeprenista. Unveiling Your Holistic KPI Dashboard: More Than Just Numbers So, what do these magical holistic KPIs look like? Think of them as different dials on your business dashboard, each giving you vital information. & yes, this holistic approach is a cornerstone of how we help entrepreneurs flourish; it’s all part of our Business Flourish Framework: Female Entrepreneurs' Blueprint for Success , which looks at your business from every angle. Let’s break down some key areas: 1. Operational Brilliance: Getting Your Business to Hum This is all about how smoothly & efficiently your business runs. Are your processes streamlined, or are there hidden drains on your time & energy? Lead-to-Client Conversion Rate: Of all the potential clients who show interest, how many actually sign up? A low rate might indicate issues with your sales process, messaging, or offer. Client Onboarding Time: How long does it take to get a new client set up & feeling supported? A lengthy or clunky process can lead to early dissatisfaction. Project/Service Delivery Efficiency: Are you delivering on time & within budget (even if that budget is your own time)? Where are the bottlenecks? System Hiccups: How often do your tech tools or processes cause frustration or delays? The Pay-Off: Improving these areas frees up your time, reduces stress, boosts productivity, & ultimately makes your business more profitable & scalable. This is where you can really start to work smarter, not harder, perhaps even leveraging smart AI tools to track tasks or automate communications. 2. Client Devotion & Brand Radiance: Is Your Business Irresistible? Happy clients are the bedrock of a sustainable business. How much do your clients love what you do, & how brightly is your brand shining? Client Satisfaction Scores: Think Net Promoter Score (NPS), testimonial quality & quantity, or even just informal feedback. Are clients raving about you? Client Retention & Repeat Business: Are clients coming back for more, or upgrading to higher-level services? This is a huge indicator of value delivered. Brand Engagement: How are people interacting with your content on social media or your email list? Are they leaning in? Referral Rate: Are happy clients actively sending new business your way? The ultimate compliment! The Pay-Off: These metrics tell you about the strength of your client relationships & your brand’s resonance. Strong performance here means organic growth, less reliance on constant lead generation, & a business that builds momentum through genuine connection. 3. Your Personal Powerhouse & Team Spirit: Are You Running on Full? This is critical, especially for us mums in business. Your energy & well-being (and that of your team, if you have one) are your most precious assets. Your Working Hours: Are they sustainable, or are you constantly burning the midnight oil? As I often say, my PhD & four little ones mean my journey might be "slower" than a 20-year-old with no dependents, but it has to be sustainable. Energy Levels: How do you feel at the end of the workday or week? Energised, or utterly depleted? Joy Factor: Are you still finding joy & passion in your work? Time Off Taken: Are you actually taking breaks & holidays to recharge? (This is a non-negotiable for me!) (If you have a team) Team Happiness & Retention: Is your team motivated, engaged, & sticking around? The Pay-Off: Prioritising these areas is a non-negotiable for preventing burnout & building a business that you can run for the long haul, one that truly supports the life you want to live. It's about ensuring your business fuels you, rather than consumes you. 4. Business Resilience & Future-Proofing: Building for Tomorrow These KPIs give you a clearer view of your business's financial health beyond just current revenue, & its preparedness for what’s next. Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): How much does it cost you to acquire a new client? Client Lifetime Value (CLV): How much revenue does an average client generate over their entire relationship with you? (Ideally, CLV should be significantly higher than CAC). Cash Flow Runway: How many months could your business operate if revenue suddenly stopped? Profit Margins: What’s your actual profit on your offers, after all expenses? Diversity of Income Streams: Are all your eggs in one basket, or do you have multiple ways revenue comes in? The Pay-Off: Understanding these figures helps you make more informed financial decisions, ensures profitability, & builds a more resilient business that can weather economic shifts or unexpected challenges. Mastering Your Metrics: It's About Insight, Not Obsession Now, I know what some of you might be thinking. "Carlene, this sounds like a lot of work!" or "I’m not a numbers person!" or "Where will I find the time?" And I get it. Truly. When you’re already juggling client work, marketing, family, & trying to remember whose turn it is for school pick-up (or in my case, which child needs what for which activity!), adding ‘KPI tracking’ to the list can feel overwhelming. But here’s the shift: It’s not about becoming a data scientist. It’s about asking the right questions & understanding the story your business is trying to tell you. Start simple. You don’t need to track everything all at once. Pick one or two key metrics from each category that feel most relevant to your current goals & challenges. Make it a rhythm, not a chore. Schedule a regular time – maybe monthly or quarterly – to review your numbers. A quick cuppa & a focused hour can work wonders. Tools can be your friend. This doesn't have to mean complex software. A simple spreadsheet can be a great start. & as you grow, exploring more sophisticated dashboards, perhaps even leveraging AI-powered analytics via tools like Databox or Klipfolio to spot trends, can be a game-changer for working smarter. Focus on insights, not just numbers. A single number rarely tells the whole story. Look for trends over time. If client satisfaction dips, why? If your onboarding time increases, what’s changed? This is where the real gold lies. This isn’t about getting bogged down in data; it’s an act of empowered, strategic leadership. It's part of that personal responsibility we take on when we decide to build something incredible. One of the first mistakes I made when implementing holistic KPIs was getting completely overwhelmed trying to track everything at once. I spent more time wrestling with spreadsheets than actually using the insights. It was only when I stripped it back to a few core metrics & focused on consistent review that I started seeing real results. If you're feeling overwhelmed, here’s a 3-step checklist to get started: Choose 1-2 KPIs: Select a few key metrics that align with your current goals. Schedule a Review: Block out time in your calendar to assess those metrics consistently. Use Simple Tools: Start with a basic spreadsheet; don't overcomplicate it! The Real Pay-Off: Sustainable Growth & a Business You Adore When you start looking beyond the bank balance & embrace a more holistic view of your business’s performance, something wonderful happens. You start making smarter, more proactive decisions. You catch small issues before they become big problems. You invest your precious time & energy where they’ll have the most impact. And the result? You build a business that is not only financially successful but also resilient, efficient, & genuinely enjoyable to run. You create true, sustainable growth that doesn’t come at the expense of your well-being, your family, or your passion. You build an asset that truly serves you & your grandest vision for your life. That, my dear fellow entrepreneur, is a bank balance worth celebrating. If you’re a Scaling Leader feeling that pull to go deeper, to implement these kinds of holistic strategies, & to build truly sustainable growth with dedicated, expert support, then our Momentum Coaching is designed specifically for you. • Starting Home Business for Mums: The Ultimate 2025 Guide

Starting Your Home Business as a Mum: The Empowering Guide (And Why 'Female Entrepreneur' Fits Best) Ever found yourself staring at a mountain of laundry, a half-eaten piece of toast, and a brilliant business idea all at the same time? If you’re nodding along, possibly with a toddler artfully redecorating your leg with a felt tip, then darling, you’re in exactly the right place. Honestly, I get it. As a mum to four, navigating everything from those first tentative business steps (while recovering from my fourth C-section & juggling a PhD, no less!) to scaling a business, I’ve learned a thing or two about turning the beautiful chaos of motherhood into entrepreneurial magic. It's all part of the juggle, right? Just last week I was wrestling with my Spark Program 's onboarding emails, & it was only after using Klaviyo that I was able to streamline the process & get back to focusing on my family. It's all part of the juggle, right? So many of us dream of building something of our own, something that offers flexibility, fulfilment, & the chance to make a real impact – all while being there for those precious school pick-ups & bedtime stories. & starting that venture from home? It seems like the perfect fit. But let's talk about a word you’ve probably heard a lot: "mompreneur." I get it. It’s often used with the best intentions to describe the incredible women juggling motherhood & business. However, here at Femmeprenista, & in my own heart, I strongly lean towards "female entrepreneur" or simply "entrepreneur." Why? Because you, my dear, are so much more than one label. You’re a visionary, a strategist, a creator, a leader. Motherhood is a hugely important, powerful, & demanding facet of who you are – it’s your superpower, not your sole definition in the business world. When we say "female entrepreneur," we acknowledge all your professional capabilities & your multifaceted identity. It's about owning your expertise & ambition, full stop. This guide is for you – the ambitious mum ready to lay the foundations of her dream business from home. We’ll talk practical steps, mindset shifts, & how to build something truly yours, all while embracing the unique strengths ( & yes, the challenges!) that motherhood brings to the table. Your Secret Weapon: How Motherhood Prepares You for Entrepreneurship Before we dive into the 'how-to', let's bust a myth. Motherhood isn't a barrier to entrepreneurship; it's a training ground for some of the most valuable skills you’ll ever need. Think about it: • Resilience Rockstar: Who’s more resilient than a mum who’s navigated sleepless nights, toddler tantrums, & the relentless demands of a growing family? You bounce back from setbacks like a pro. That’s pure entrepreneurial gold. It reminds me of trying to finalise a critical grant proposal, the deadline looming, only for my six-year-old to have a spectacular meltdown because her favourite blue crayon – the exact shade of azure she needed to finish her heartfelt drawing of our family to give to her tearful teenage sister – had snapped. In that moment, you breathe, you problem-solve (hello, sticky tape & a promise of a new pack!), & you get back to it. That’s resilience in action! • Multitasking Maestro: Juggling school runs, meal prep, doctor’s appointments, & remembering whose turn it is to feed Cappuccino (our calmer, older Min Pin) or stop Espresso (her hyperactive puppy daughter) from ‘redecorating’ the sofa with her zoomies? You’re already a PhD in multitasking. See, this is the example of when kids will be running, right? We're trying to have a conversation but hey, it's real! • Empathy Expert: Understanding the unspoken needs of a non-verbal baby or a teenager going through a tough time hones your empathy like nothing else. This ability to connect & understand is crucial for understanding your clients’ needs. • Negotiation Ninja: Ever tried to convince a two-year-old that broccoli is, in fact, delicious? Or that bedtime is non-negotiable? Your negotiation skills are probably sharper than you think! These aren't just ‘mum skills’; they are core entrepreneurial competencies. Embrace them! Laying the Foundations: Your Practical First Steps from Home Alright, let's get practical. If you're a Foundation Builder, the initial steps can feel overwhelming. But broken down, they’re absolutely doable, even with little ones underfoot. Honestly, I had this exact feeling of overwhelm just last week as I was wrestling with website copy, all while trying to figure out where the little one had hidden my car keys (again!). 1. Finding Your Focus: What’s Your Big Idea & Why? Every great business starts with a spark. What problem are you passionate about solving? What unique skills or experiences can you offer? This isn't just about what you can do, but what lights you up. This clarity of vision is so important. It's the cornerstone of everything. When I was wrestling with the idea of leaving my corporate role at Apple, honestly, I felt like a cog in a wheel, despite some good experiences. The dread of returning after my third child, feeling underpaid for work worthy of a much higher salary, was immense. My MBA at Cranfield, ironically, didn't just qualify me for a better corporate job; it reconnected me to my entrepreneurial spirit & the burning question: "Isn't life about the quality of it, not just how much you've got in the pocket?" That became my "why." Finding the right "why" is so key. • Action Step: Grab a notebook (perhaps during naptime, if such a magical thing exists in your world!). Jot down your ideas. What are you good at? What do people ask your help for? What change do you want to see? Don't censor yourself. This initial brainstorming is about getting it all out. • Validate It: Once you have a few ideas, talk to people. Would they pay for this solution? Does it solve a real pain point? (If you’re looking for dedicated support to validate your idea & gain crystal clarity, our Spark Program is designed to guide you through exactly this process.) 2. Carving Your Niche: Who Are You Here to Serve? Trying to be everything to everyone is a fast track to burnout. Who is your ideal client? Get specific. What are their dreams, their struggles, their secret desires? When you know exactly who you’re talking to, your messaging becomes so much more powerful & your marketing far more effective. Think about the kind of person you genuinely love working with. This focus helps you tailor your offerings & communicate your value in a way that truly lands. 3. Simple & Smart Tech Setup (No PhD in IT Required!) The thought of websites, payment systems, & scheduling tools can bring on a cold sweat. But trust me, it doesn’t have to be complicated, especially in the beginning. For me it’s still fresh in my memory, spending hours wrestling with DNS settings only to realise the two-year-old had unplugged the router! • Your Online Home: A simple, professional-looking website is key. It doesn't need all the bells & whistles initially. Platforms like Squarespace or even a well-structured Carrd landing page can be a great start. • Easy Communication: A professional email address (not your personal Gmail) is a must. • Getting Paid: PayPal & Stripe are easy to set up for taking payments. • Scheduling Sanity: Tools like Calendly or Acuity Scheduling can automate bookings & save you so much back-and-forth. The aim here is to create simple, streamlined processes that work for you, not against you. Think about leveraging smart tools, perhaps even simple AI assistants for things like drafting email responses or organising your to-do list, to make life easier. For example, Grammarly can be used to streamline your content editing process. For example, one Femmeprenista client, Sarah, used a free Carrd template to build a landing page in an afternoon, focusing on clear messaging rather than fancy design. Another client, Emily, used Calendly to automate her discovery call bookings, saving her at least an hour a week in back-and-forth emails. (If the thought of tech setup genuinely makes you want to hide under the duvet, our Ready-to-Launch Kit offers a complete Done-For-You service to get your professional online foundation built in about 60 days!) 4. Finding Your First Cherished Clients This is where the rubber meets the road! To help guide you, here is a 3-step actionable checklist to guide your way: • Tap Your Network: Let friends, family, & former colleagues know what you’re doing. You’d be surprised where your first clients come from. Action Item : Draft a short, personal email or message to 5 people in your network letting them know about your new venture & the kind of clients you're looking for. • Social Media Savvy: Choose one or two platforms where your ideal clients hang out. Share valuable content consistently. Don’t just sell; serve. Action Item : Commit to posting one valuable, engaging piece of content on your chosen platform 3 times a week for the next month. • Offer an Irresistible Introductory Service: Make it easy for people to say "yes" to experiencing your brilliance. Action Item : Create a limited-time introductory offer or discount for your first 5 clients. I remember the early days of my first proper venture, Nisbett & George, which I co-founded during university after winning a spot in the E-Factor competition. Honestly, it was a "now or never" feeling as a new mum. Finding those first customers felt like a huge mountain to climb, but every "yes" fuelled the fire. Building Smart, Not Just Hard: Systems for Sanity & Sustainable Growth One of the biggest traps for entrepreneurs, especially mums, is trying to do everything manually. This is where smart systems come in – they’re not just about efficiency; they’re about protecting your precious time & energy. This means creating repeatable processes for common tasks: • Client Onboarding: What steps do new clients go through? Can you automate welcome emails or information gathering? • Content Creation: Can you batch-create content? Use templates? • Financial Tracking: Simple spreadsheets or basic accounting software can make a huge difference. Remember, the goal isn't to "hustle" yourself into the ground. It's to build a business that supports your life, not consumes it. This often involves looking at how your business fits into your whole life, ensuring it energises rather than drains you, & implementing efficient systems. Perhaps leveraging smart AI tools to truly streamline your processes can help you delegate or ditch what’s not serving you. It's about taking personal responsibility for how you structure your work to fit your life. As the inspirational Jim Rohn says ""Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day"". The Power of Community: You’re Not Alone on This Journey Starting a business from home can sometimes feel isolating, especially when you’re also juggling family life. Finding your tribe is essential. Surround yourself with other female entrepreneurs who get it . Share your wins, your wobbles, & your wisdom. A supportive community can provide encouragement, accountability, & invaluable connections. It truly makes a difference to know you’re not the only one trying to decipher a business plan while simultaneously explaining to a toddler why the dog can’t eat chocolate. (This is a big part of why we created Femme:Connect , our free global community – it’s a space for authentic connection & peer support. It also helps to know we delve deeper into the support Femmeprenista offers in our post on Femmeprenista Female Entrepreneur Support: Find Your Purpose .) Mindset Matters Most: Owning Your Journey & Ditching the Guilt This is perhaps the most crucial piece of the puzzle. Your mindset will determine your altitude. • Embrace Imperfection: Done is better than perfect. Especially when you’re starting out. • Challenge "Mum Guilt": You are allowed to have ambitions beyond motherhood. Building a business that fulfils you ultimately benefits your family too. You’re modelling strength, passion, & resilience. • Banish Imposter Syndrome: That little voice saying "Who am I to do this?" We all hear it sometimes. Acknowledge it, then politely tell it to take a hike. You have unique gifts & experiences to share. I’ve had moments, especially early in my academic journey when I moved to a private school mid-year & felt so behind, where I questioned if I belonged. But learning to find my voice & own my capabilities was transformative. You are capable. • Take Personal Responsibility: This is a big one for me. Yes, there are systemic challenges. Yes, life throws curveballs. But ultimately, your progress, your success, your journey – it’s down to you. My own path has been "slower" because I've always juggled my ambitions with raising my children – doing my undergrad with my first as a baby, my MBA with my second, & now my PhD with my two youngest. It doesn’t mean I can’t get there; it means I own my pace & my choices. Hard work combined with smart work is key. The inspirational Jim Rohn wisely shares ""Learn how to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want"". Starting a business from home as a mother is an adventure. It’s challenging, yes, but oh-so-rewarding. It’s a path to autonomy, fulfilment, & making a direct impact, all while being present for the people who matter most. You're not just building a business; you're designing a life. So, take a deep breath, lovely. You’ve got this. One step, one cup of (probably lukewarm) tea, one brilliant idea at a time. You are, as Roxie Nafousi says, an attractor! Ready to take that first focused step & get crystal clear on your business idea & who you're here to serve, with a supportive community cheering you on? Our Spark Program is specifically designed for ambitious female entrepreneurs like you who are ready to build strong foundations. It’s the perfect way to turn those incredible ideas into a clear, actionable plan. • Motherhood CEO Leadership Skills: Unlock Your Power Moves

From Playdates to Power Moves: How Motherhood Makes You a CEO Rockstar Hey lovely ladies, Carlene here! Let's talk about something super close to my heart – motherhood. Juggling four kids (my teenage daughter testing the limits of Wi-Fi patience with her endless streaming, my six-year-old’s sudden fascination with incredibly loud musical instruments, a toddler who believes everything is a climbing frame, and a baby who communicates primarily through adorable yet indecipherable gurgles), a PhD, two energetic Miniature Pinschers (Cappuccino, the serene matriarch, and Espresso, the furry tornado), and running a business… well, let's just say "organised chaos" is my middle name. Sound familiar? Thought so! For a while, if I'm honest, I struggled to see how all this "mum stuff" was actually an asset in my business. It felt more like a never-ending obstacle course than CEO training. For a while, if I'm honest, I struggled to see how all this "mum stuff" was actually an asset in my business. It felt more like a never-ending obstacle course than CEO training. But then, a funny thing happened. I remember when I completely botched a client proposal because I was so sleep-deprived from night feeds that I mixed up the numbers, completely undermining my credibility. It taught me, painfully, that even "mum-brain" needs systems and support to function effectively in the business world. I started noticing patterns, connecting the dots between the daily juggle of motherhood and the very skills that make a successful entrepreneur. Now, honestly, I've noticed something interesting. This beautiful chaos of motherhood, the constant juggling, the unexpected curveballs (like the time my toddler decided to "decorate" my laptop with peanut butter moments before a crucial video conference, or when my carefully planned webinar launch coincided with a stomach bug epidemic in my household), it’s actually shaping us into some pretty incredible CEOs. In fact, I’d argue that motherhood is a secret weapon, a leadership bootcamp that traditional business schools just can’t replicate. The Unexpected CEO Training Ground Think about it. What does a CEO do? They lead, they strategize, they build teams, they make tough decisions under pressure, and they adapt like chameleons to ever-changing market conditions. Sounds a lot like the daily reality of motherhood, doesn’t it? Remember that time your carefully planned family outing turned into a full-blown meltdown extravaganza because your toddler decided shoes were the enemy? Or when your meticulously crafted weekly schedule dissolved faster than a biscuit in a cup of tea because of a surprise school closure? You didn’t throw in the towel (even though you really, really wanted to). You pivoted. You improvised. You found a solution, even if it involved a questionable amount of screen time & bribery with chocolate. That’s CEO material right there! CEO material right there! I remember one time, my eldest needed a very specific type of glitter for a school project due the next day (naturally, this was discovered at 8pm the night before). After a frantic dash to three different shops, we finally found the right kind, only to realise we’d left the glue at home. Cue another frantic improvisation session involving sticky tape & a prayer. It wasn’t pretty, but it got done. That’s the mum-CEO magic in action! Reframing the "Liability" Myth For far too long, motherhood has been viewed as a liability in the business world. I’ve heard it all – the concerns about “divided attention,” the worries about “lack of commitment,” the assumption that we can’t possibly juggle the demands of a family & a thriving business. Well, let me tell you, that’s utter rubbish! My own journey, juggling multiple businesses, four kids, a PhD (which often feels like trying to write a novel in a bouncy castle), & a household that could rival a small zoo, has proven that these perceived “limitations” are actually our superpowers. As Myron Golden says, “To become the tree, you have to cease being the seed.” We, my friends, are masters of resourcefulness. We can stretch a budget further than a toddler can stretch a piece of bubblegum. We can negotiate a truce between warring siblings with the diplomacy of a seasoned UN ambassador. We can operate on minimal sleep & still manage to string coherent sentences together (most of the time). These are not weaknesses; these are strengths . From "Mummy Brain" to Strategic Brilliance Ever feel like your brain is a browser with a million tabs open, all vying for your attention? Yeah, that’s the “mummy brain” they talk about. But what if I told you that this seemingly scattered mental landscape is actually cultivating a unique form of strategic brilliance? We’re constantly processing information. We’re anticipating needs, assessing risks, & making split-second decisions. We're masters of prioritisation. We're constantly evaluating what truly matters (like ensuring everyone is fed, clothed, and relatively sane) and letting go of the less important stuff. This constant filtering and focusing is a CEO superpower! We’re juggling multiple priorities. We're managing competing demands. And somehow, miraculously, we're keeping everything (mostly) afloat. This isn’t just multitasking; it’s a high-level form of strategic thinking that translates directly into the boardroom. We are, after all, the ultimate project managers. I mean, have you ever tried to organise a birthday party for a six-year-old? That’s project management on steroids! Empathy: Your Secret Weapon for Building Powerful Teams Motherhood hones another incredibly valuable CEO skill – empathy. We’re constantly tuning into the emotional needs of our children, deciphering their sometimes cryptic communications (like the toddler’s insistence that the cat is saying “banana”), & responding with understanding and compassion. This ability to connect with others on a deeply human level is invaluable for building strong, motivated teams. It’s about understanding that behind every employee, every client, every team member, is a whole person with their own unique set of needs, motivations, and challenges. That kind of emotional intelligence, that ability to truly see people, is the cornerstone of exceptional leadership. Redefining Success: Building a Legacy, Not Just a Business Finally, let’s talk about legacy. As mothers, we’re inherently focused on building something that lasts, something bigger than ourselves. We’re not just building businesses; we’re building legacies for our children. Did you know that, according to the 2023 American Express State of Women-Owned Businesses Report, women-owned businesses are growing at a rate significantly higher than the national average? We’re not just here to make a living; we’re here to make a difference. We’re teaching them about resilience, about resourcefulness, about the importance of following your passion, and about the power of creating something meaningful. This long-term vision, this drive to create a positive impact that extends beyond our own lifetime, informs every decision we make, every strategy we implement, & every team we build. • Rapid Launch Service Business: Moms' Fast-Track Framework

Launch Your Service Business in Days (Not Weeks!): A Rapid-Fire Framework for Busy Mums Right, let's be honest, the traditional "weeks of planning" approach to launching a business? It just doesn't cut it for us busy mums, does it? Especially for my fellow Millennial mums, we're facing pressures like grandparents still working and the ever-rising cost of childcare (especially in the US – tell me about it!). We’re juggling school runs, tantrums, and that nagging feeling of needing to build something truly fulfilling and financially secure. It's a lot. It’s like trying to have a serious business conversation while your toddler uses your laptop as a drum kit, as my two-year-old did just yesterday – talk about a disruption! I’ve been there. I totally get it. Right now, I'm balancing PhD research, a newborn, and a toddler who thinks flour is the new confetti. It's a whirlwind, to say the least. This is the "beautiful chaos" of motherhood and entrepreneurship combined. This article is for you – the "Foundation Builders" – bravely taking those first steps. And trust me, if I can navigate this crazy beautiful journey (while recovering from a C-section, no less!), you absolutely can. I'm a firm believer in working smart , not just hard. I draw inspiration from my MBA & PhD research into Black female entrepreneurship, always seeking the most efficient and effective ways to move forward. That's why I created this rapid-launch framework, specifically designed for service-based businesses. It prioritizes essentials, leverages your existing resources, and gets you to market fast – a "minimum viable launch" approach that aligns your actions with a resilient mindset, informed by a deep understanding of your ideal client. Because, honestly, done is better than perfect, especially when you’re a mum trying to squeeze business-building between Paw Patrol episodes and nap times! Ditch Perfectionism, Embrace Momentum One of the biggest blocks I see women face (and one I've wrestled with myself) is perfectionism. As female entrepreneurs, it’s easy to get caught in the "it's not quite ready yet" trap. It can feel paralyzing. It's that familiar feeling of second-guessing everything just before you hit "publish" or send that first email – every tiny imperfection suddenly feels like a glaring flaw. I’ve been there. In my early corporate days, I struggled with this, from the challenges of my first university experience to the often-stifling corporate culture of places like Electrolux. Reflecting on those experiences reinforces just how crucial it is to find your voice, your own rhythm, and your path, even if it’s a bit unconventional (like mine – four kids and a PhD!). It takes courage to say "This is good enough for now," but I’m here to tell you it’s more than okay – it's often the smartest move. Launching imperfectly, with a clear focus on your message and how you present it, is how you gain real-world traction. Remember, done is better than perfect, especially when you’re juggling so much. Think about my 15-year-old learning to drive. Would she wait until she mastered every single maneuver before hitting the road? Nope. She's gaining experience, learning by doing , and correcting course along the way. It's the same with your business. A quick launch helps you: Validate your idea: Real feedback from real clients trumps endless planning. Gain early momentum: Small wins build confidence and create a ripple effect. Overcome perfectionism: Imperfect action silences that inner critic. Adapt & improve: Live feedback fuels refinement & growth. Every launch, even a less-than-perfect one, teaches you something invaluable. This aligns perfectly with the NLP principle "There is no failure, only feedback," giving you a powerful reframe for any bumps in the road. Your Rapid-Launch Checklist (For Service Businesses) Ready to Launch ? Here’s a streamlined checklist: Define your core offer: What ONE service will you start with? Keep it laser-focused on your strength. Are you amazing at helping mums streamline their mornings? Focus on that! Remember, you’re not a beginner, even if it feels that way. You already have valuable skills and experiences – own them! I remember when I first launched my coaching business, I got so caught up in creating the "perfect" packages that I didn't actually test my core offer with real clients. It delayed my launch by weeks and taught me a valuable lesson about prioritizing action over perfection. Identify your ideal client: Who is your perfect client? What are her struggles, dreams, & late-night worries? Deeply understanding her is key to crafting a message that resonates. This is crucial for creating that authentic connection and building trust. This reminds me of Sabri Suby's "Halo Strategy" – understanding your ideal client so deeply that you can practically finish her sentences. It's about empathy and really seeing her world. Set up a basic online presence: A simple landing page, contact form, & scheduler are enough to start. You don’t need a fancy website just yet. My Ready-to-Launch Kit can help expedite this if tech feels overwhelming. Ready-to-Launch Kit Page It’s all about giving you a professional online presence fast , without the tech headaches, so you can focus on connecting with clients. Leverage existing resources: Use your personal social media – Facebook, Instagram, whatever you already have. Share your story & invite your network to join your journey. Think about it this way: your current network is your first, most accessible market. They already know, like, and trust you. Start there, and watch the ripple effect grow! Remember what Rory Sutherland says, “Stories are the PDF files of human information.” Your story is your most powerful marketing tool. Set up essential systems (but keep them super simple!): Basic invoicing, scheduling, & communication tools are your friends. Tools like Calendly, Wave Apps, and a dedicated email address are game-changers. They don’t need to be fancy, just functional. This sets you up for that all-important 'Flow' – efficient systems that create Momentum and save you precious time and energy. Price confidently: What problem are you solving, & what's the transformation worth to your client? Price accordingly. I know pricing can be a real sticking point, especially for us women, we tend to undervalue ourselves. Don't be afraid to ask for what you're worth. You're providing valuable solutions! Consider tiered pricing – a basic, premium, & VIP option – to give clients choices. Remember, the right clients, the ones truly aligned with your value, won't hesitate to invest in themselves and their growth. Tell your story: Your unique experiences & "why" are your secret sauce! Authentic storytelling builds deep connection & trust. Your story is your differentiator. It’s your Flair, your unique magic that makes you irresistible to your ideal client. Remember how comedians work? They tell stories based on their real-life experiences, making them relatable and hilarious. It’s the same in business – authenticity connects. Launch & iterate: Get your service out there! Don’t wait for perfect. Learn, adapt, and refine as you go. This is your Fuel – the constant adaptation that makes your business resilient, like those tenacious little weeds that keep popping up in my garden, no matter how hard I try to keep them at bay! Every launch is a learning opportunity. Don't be afraid to pivot and refine based on what your clients tell you. Beyond Launch: Building a Flourishing Business (and a Life You Love!) This rapid-launch approach is your first step. My Business Flourish Framework (Focus, Flair, Flow, Fuel, & Fusion – strategic AI integration) will support you every step of the way, building a business aligned with the life you love. How We Work / Business Flourish Framework It's about mindset, marketing, systems, wellbeing, & the smart use of AI – all working together to help you thrive, not just survive. • CEO Motherhood PhD Juggle: Stolen Moments to Thrive | Femmeprenista

Stolen Moments, Strategic Steps: How I Navigate the Beautiful Chaos of CEO Life, PhD Research, and Motherhood Ever feel like you're juggling flaming torches while balancing on a tightrope… all while trying to look effortlessly graceful? You know that feeling, right? Welcome to my world! As CEO of Femmeprenista, a PhD researcher delving into the fascinating world of Black female entrepreneurship, and a mum of four (plus two energetic Miniature Pinschers – Cappuccino and Espresso – it's a whole thing!), "busy" doesn't even begin to cover it. I mean, just last week, I was trying to deliver a presentation for my PhD cohort when Espresso decided the perfect moment for a zoomie session, bouncing off the walls behind me while Cappuccino looked on with a "been there, done that" expression. It wasn't exactly the image of serene academic focus I was aiming for, but hey, that's the real-life juggle, isn’t it? But here's the secret: even amidst the beautiful chaos, consistent progress is possible. And it all starts with a shift in perspective and a commitment to working smart , not just hard. From Caster Oil Catastrophes to Car Park Epiphanies: Finding My "Why" Let's be honest here for a sec, the entrepreneurial journey, especially as a mum, is rarely a smooth, Instagram-perfect path. I've had mornings where I've walked out the door with one sock on (and don’t even get me started on finding tiny handprints all over a freshly-painted wall… just moments before a crucial client call – a fresh coat of paint isn’t what I meant by creating a standout brand!). One particularly memorable morning involved a rogue tube of glitter glue, a toddler with a newfound artistic passion, and me desperately trying to scrub shimmering artwork off the dog… and my brand-new white sofa! Ever been there? These moments, as frustrating as they can be, are part of the real, raw tapestry of building a business while raising a family. My own journey has been anything but linear. I remember, fresh out of university, co-founding my first business, Nisbett & George, fueled by that "now or never" feeling after the E-Factor competition during my final year. That whole experience felt like a pivotal moment - fresh out of university, and a new mum, so there was an incredible drive to make the idea work. It was an incredible learning experience, but ultimately, it taught me a hard lesson about the importance of aligned commitment in partnerships. I wanted to go all in, but my partner, not a parent at the time, understandably needed the stability of a regular job. We had fundamentally different views on time & risk tolerance, which, as you can imagine, created friction. It’s like that fable about The Little Red Hen, slaving away while everyone else joins the party only when the bread is baked… frustrating, right?! It wasn't really about blaming them; it was more about the need for partners to be on the same page. Then came the corporate years, working for big brands like Apple & Electrolux. While I gained valuable experience in retail marketing, managing international campaigns & leading teams, I often felt like a replaceable cog in a giant machine. Remember that time a senior leader looked at us & bluntly said, “You’re all replaceable"? That didn’t exactly inspire loyalty or make me feel valued! This feeling, coupled with limited leave for school holidays (“12-13 weeks… do parents get three months off? No!”) further fuelled my entrepreneurial fire. The pivotal turning point was my MBA at Cranfield. I still remember the electric feeling of the taster day, like a mini explosion going off in my head. And then, a completely random conversation in the car park with Andrew, the programme director – he mentioned scholarships & something just clicked. I knew this was the next step. As Tony Robbins says, "It's not knowing what to do, it's doing what you know." I recall being in my manager’s office at Electrolux literally that afternoon, about to resign when I got the email about my acceptance & scholarship… it was a surreal but very definite “signpost”. But here’s the twist: the MBA didn’t lead me to a better corporate job. It made me realize I wanted something more – more autonomy, more impact, more life . It was about the quality of it, not just the salary, you know? That’s my "why." It's about building a life where my business serves my family, not the other way around. It's about creating a legacy for my children & empowering other women to do the same. It's about showing them (and myself!) that even with four kids, two dogs, & a PhD, it’s absolutely possible to create something extraordinary. The Power of "Stolen Moments" & Strategic Systems So, how do I actually do it all? The short answer? I don't. At least, not in the way you might think. I don't believe in superhuman feats of multitasking or sacrificing sleep. It's about intentionality, efficient systems, & the power of "stolen moments." As Jim Rohn said, "Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.” There was a time when I thought I could power through everything by sheer force of will, but quickly learned that wasn't sustainable. I'd be up all night trying to catch up, fueled by copious amounts of coffee, & end up feeling utterly depleted, like a wilted houseplant desperately needing water (and probably a large glass of wine!). Reflections informed by my ongoing research into Black female entrepreneurship often highlight the incredible resourcefulness of women navigating multiple demands. We are masters of making things happen, even with limited resources & constant interruptions. This resonates so deeply with my own experience. It's really funny, because I've learned to leverage those little pockets of time – the 15 minutes while the baby naps, the 30 minutes during the school run – for focused, high-impact work. Prioritize & Plan: I start by identifying the 2-3 MOST important tasks for the day. These are the needle-movers, not the busywork. Time Blocking: I schedule these tasks into those "stolen moments," treating them like important appointments. Eliminate Distractions: During those focused bursts, I put my phone on airplane mode, close unnecessary tabs, & tell the family, "Mummy's in Focus Mode!" It’s amazing how much you can achieve in short bursts when you’re fully present. A crucial part of this is having rock-solid systems in place. Think of it like this: you can’t build a skyscraper without a blueprint & strong foundations. The Femmeprenista Business Flourish Framework provides just that – a robust structure for building a sustainable business. It’s all about sharpening your mindset, creating an authentic brand, streamlining your systems, prioritizing your wellbeing, & integrating AI strategically. Of course, there are days when even the best systems fail – like when my pre-scheduled social media posts about 'time management' went out while I was dealing with a kid's fever & a flooded bathroom! But that's life, right? We just pick ourselves up and start again. If you’re constantly reacting to every notification or spending hours manually creating invoices, you'll quickly burn out. As Layla Hormozi says, "Your business needs to serve your life, not the other way around. Build systems that give you freedom." And trust me, with everything I juggle, I need that freedom! I'm a huge advocate for leveraging technology, especially AI, to streamline processes. For example, I use an AI scheduling tool that integrates with my CRM & automatically sends appointment reminders to clients, saving me hours each week. It’s not about replacing the human touch, but about freeing up our time & energy for the things that truly matter: strategy, connection, creativity. This is where the seamless integration of AI becomes your superpower. Imagine using AI to analyze your marketing data, personalize client communication, or automate content creation – freeing you to focus on building genuine connections or simply being present with your family. Perhaps consider incorporating smart AI tools to truly streamline your processes & delegate or ditch what’s not serving you. Imagine having a virtual assistant that handles scheduling, email marketing, & social media posting, so you can focus on high-level strategy or simply be present with your family. From Overwhelm to Empowerment: Owning Your Journey It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you’re juggling multiple roles. Believe me, I get it! There are days when I feel like I’m drowning in a sea of to-do lists, surrounded by kids' toys and piles of research papers. There was a point, after my fourth C-section, juggling a newborn, a toddler, and my PhD research, while also trying to keep the business afloat, that I felt completely lost. I remember thinking, "How am I supposed to do all this?" It was a moment of profound vulnerability, where I realized I couldn't keep pushing myself in the same way. It was during this challenging time that I truly leaned into the power of systems, mindset, and small, strategic steps to reclaim my time & energy. But here's the crucial mindset shift: you are the captain of your ship. Yes, the system might have thrown you some curveballs, but it’s your responsibility to navigate the storm. As William Ernest Henley wrote, “I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.” My own path, especially with four kids & a PhD, has shown me that while the journey might be slower or different, taking ownership is non-negotiable. It’s not about blaming external factors; it's about focusing on what you can control – your mindset, your actions, your choices. Remember, consistent action, even in small doses, will always lead to progress. It’s like that tortoise & the hare story… slow & steady, with the right mindset & systems, absolutely wins the race. One simple but powerful way to start is by taking five minutes each morning to write down three things you want to achieve today for your business, not just tasks. Another quick win? Schedule your week in advance, blocking out time for both work tasks and personal commitments (family time, self-care, even just a quiet cuppa!). This helps prevent that constant feeling of being pulled in a million directions. It's about getting clear – which is what we work on a lot with our clients at Femmeprenista, especially those in the Foundation Builder stage, just starting out and feeling overwhelmed. • Executive Coaching: Visionary Women CEOs Unlock Next-Level Impact

Beyond the Boardroom Applause: Why Executive Coaching is the Visionary Woman CEO's Secret Weapon for Legacy & Next-Level Impact Hello incredible leader, If you’re reading this, chances are you’re not just in the game; you’re changing it. You’ve built a thriving online business, navigated the dizzying highs & lows, & created something truly remarkable. I see you. As a fellow CEO, a mum of four juggling a PhD, & someone who’s walked a fair few miles on this entrepreneurial path (you can find out a bit more about my journey over on my About Carlene Nisbett / Our Mission page), I understand the grit, vision, & sheer tenacity it takes to reach the heights you’ve achieved. It’s really funny, because I know that even with the highs, it can be lonely at the top, but I also see the unique fire in you to solve problems. But, let’s be honest, just between us CEOs… even at the summit, there’s always that whisper, isn’t there? That little niggle that asks, “What’s next ? How do I not just sustain this, but amplify my impact, build a legacy that truly lasts, & do it all without losing myself in the process?” See, I’ve been there – I remember one launch where everything felt like it was going wrong at once (tech glitches, team disagreements, & a serious case of imposter syndrome!), and the sales page crashed 10 minutes before we were due to go live! But the one thing that pulled me through was reconnecting with my 'why' and breaking the huge problem into small, actionable steps. It’s about reminding yourself where you are going & why. You’ve conquered mountains. Now, let’s talk about shaping the entire mountain range. The View from Your Summit: New Peaks, New Perspectives You’re at a point many dream of. Your online business is a testament to your brilliance, your team (if you have one) is likely humming, & your impact is undeniable. Give yourself a moment to truly acknowledge that – you’ve earned it! I remember when I was deep in the trenches with my early ventures, or even navigating complex corporate landscapes at places like Apple, the idea of reaching this kind of established success felt like a distant star. Yet, with great success come new, more nuanced challenges, don’t they? Strategic Inflection Points: The very strategies that got you here might not be the ones to take you to your next audacious goal. You’re facing higher-stakes decisions that require an even sharper strategic mind. Maintaining Visionary Leadership: How do you stay in your zone of genius, holding the grand vision, when operational complexities or new market shifts demand your attention? It's a delicate dance, ensuring your strategic clarity cuts through the daily noise. The Isolation at the Top: It can be, let’s face it, a bit lonely. Finding true peers who understand the unique pressures & complexities of your role, who can offer unbiased, high-level strategic thinking without their own agenda, becomes rarer. The Legacy Question: You’re likely thinking beyond quarterly profits now. What kind of lasting impact do you want to create? What will your business stand for in 5, 10, 20 years? How do you ensure its values are embedded deep within its DNA as it grows? Reflections informed by my ongoing PhD research into women's entrepreneurship often highlight how challenging it can be to find support at different life stages. When I did my MBA at Cranfield, I had my second daughter, who was only nine months old, & whilst my partner, my personal workaholic, gave me incredible support, it was tough all round for everybody. It taught me that high-level thinking isn’t just an intellectual exercise; it’s about integrating that vision into the very real, often demanding, fabric of life. This is where a different kind of support becomes not just helpful, but imperative. How, though, are you supposed to find the time for coaching when you have a business, four kids & are doing a PhD, eh? Well, it’s all about those small actionable steps! Beyond 'Fixing': Why Executive Coaching is Your Strategic Superpower Now, when I say "coaching" to a CEO of your calibre (for established CEOs), I’m not talking about fixing something that’s broken. Far from it. You’re already excelling. Think of executive coaching at this level as less of a mechanic for a sputtering engine & more like partnering with a Formula 1 race strategist for a high-performance vehicle that’s already leading the pack. To become the tree, you have to cease being the seed, as Myron Golden says, & that takes support. For Visionary Leaders, executive coaching is a proactive, strategic investment in your future growth & impact. It's about: A Confidential Strategic Thinking Partner: Imagine having a dedicated, objective expert whose sole focus is to help you refine your vision, navigate complex strategic choices, & make bold, informed decisions with absolute clarity. It’s a space to explore those audacious ‘what ifs’ without judgment. Unlocking Further Potential: It’s not about addressing deficiencies; it’s about amplifying your strengths, honing your executive leadership, & unlocking untapped potential within you & your business. Future-Proofing Your Leadership: The landscape, especially in the online arena, changes at lightning speed. Coaching helps you stay agile, innovative, & ahead of the curve. This aligns so deeply with my own belief in continuous growth & taking personal responsibility for our evolution. My journey through academia, from my first degree in Fashion Design & Marketing to my current PhD research, has always been about asking, "How can I be better? How can I understand this more deeply?" It’s this inherent curiosity & commitment to growth that executive coaching nurtures at the highest level. It's also about seeing what I know & helping you apply them, because "It's not knowing what to do, it's doing what you know", as Tony Robbins says. The Digital Domain: Tailored Support for Online Empire Builders Leading a thriving online business presents its own unique set of triumphs & trials. The digital landscape is exhilarating but demanding. Executive coaching, especially tailored for online business CEOs, can be instrumental in navigating: Scaling Digitally Native Operations: How do you intelligently scale systems, customer experience, & marketing in a business that lives & breathes online? We’re talking sophisticated strategies that ensure growth is sustainable, not just rapid. Leveraging Strategic AI (The Fusion Advantage): The rise of AI isn't just a trend; it's a strategic imperative. How can you, as CEO, ensure your business is leveraging tools like AI not just for efficiency, but for genuine strategic advantage, perhaps to truly streamline your processes or gain deeper market insights? For example, AI can analyze vast amounts of customer data to identify untapped market segments or personalize marketing messages at scale, leading to higher conversion rates. This isn't about chasing shiny objects, but thoughtfully integrating technology to amplify your vision & impact. Optimising & Leading Remote Teams: Many successful online businesses thrive with remote or hybrid teams. How do you foster a strong culture, maintain peak performance, & lead effectively when your team is distributed? Maintaining Market Leadership: In a fast-evolving online world, staying ahead requires constant innovation, keen market awareness, & the agility to pivot. A coach can be your sounding board for these high-level strategic manoeuvres. Scaling a digitally native operation is tough, though; according to a recent study by Hubspot, digitally native companies face a 30% higher customer acquisition cost than traditional businesses due to increased competition in the online space Hubspot or relevant article . It may be difficult, but strategic AI can take your vision & impact even further. Leading with Legacy & Longevity: A Holistic Approach to Your Ascent At Femmeprenista, our entire philosophy is built on the understanding that true, lasting success is holistic. It’s not just about the numbers; it’s about how you achieve them & the life you build alongside your empire. For you, the Visionary Leader, this means: Sharpening Your Focus: Honing that razor-sharp strategic thinking, ensuring your vision is crystal clear not just to you, but to your team & your market. It’s about deeply understanding your 'why' & letting that purpose drive every decision. Amplifying Your Flair: Leading with an authentic presence that inspires. It’s about how you communicate your vision, build your brand’s reputation at an executive level, & attract high-calibre talent & partnerships. Optimising Your Systems: Ensuring your business operations, team structures, & systems are so well-optimised that they support, rather than hinder, your strategic objectives. This might involve leveraging smart AI tools to truly streamline your processes or making high-level decisions about delegation & automation to free you up for visionary work. Fuelling Your Journey Sustainably: This is absolutely crucial, & often overlooked when you’re operating at such a high level. Your energy, your well-being, your ability to avoid burnout – these are not luxuries; they are fundamental to your capacity to lead with vision & resilience for the long haul. It’s about ensuring your business energises rather than drains you, allowing you to build that lasting legacy without sacrificing yourself. My own experience of juggling a demanding PhD, a growing business, & a bustling family of four (plus two energetic Miniature Pinschers, Cappuccino & Espresso, who add their own special brand of chaos!) constantly reminds me that sustainability isn’t just a buzzword. It’s the bedrock of long-term impact. As Lisa Nichols says, "Your job is to fill your own cup, so it overflows. Then you can serve others, joyfully, from your saucer." You can’t pour from an empty cup, especially when you’re leading a major enterprise. If you need help getting more energy & stop feeling overwhelmed, come & explore our free Femme:Connect community Femme:Connect Community Page .
