See, for the longest time, I thought building a business meant doing it all alone. Pulling all-nighters fuelled by lukewarm coffee (and the faint hum of "Paw Patrol" in the background – anyone else relate?!). More like lukewarm coffee and the faint, but persistent, and incredibly irritating, hum of "Cocomelon," which, trust me, gets ingrained in your brain after the 700th repeat. I was the Little Red Hen, trying to plant, harvest, & bake the whole damn loaf myself, only to have everyone suddenly show up when it was time to eat! Sound familiar? Thought so! It's exhausting, isn't it? And, honestly, a little bit ridiculous. Like that time I tried to record a podcast & my toddler decided my microphone was the perfect teething toy – resulting in a recording that sounded more like a baby rave than a business podcast. Talk about a cringe, but true moment!
Because here’s the truth: we weren’t meant to do this alone. As women, particularly those of us juggling families and the relentless demands of modern motherhood, we thrive in supportive environments (remember my private school story, and how much easier it was to find my voice once I was surrounded by my "tribe"?).
