And how do I even begin to find my thing?" Especially when you’re juggling the "beautiful chaos" of motherhood – the school runs, the laundry mountain, the toddler using your laptop as a climbing frame… finding the right business niche can feel like just another thing on your never-ending to-do list. I remember one particularly memorable morning, just before a crucial client call, my toddler decided to give our pristine white dog, Cappuccino, a "makeover" with a tube of bright blue paint. Let’s just say, bath time for the dog took priority over strategic planning that day! It's moments like these – hilarious now, but utter chaos then – that underscore the need for a business that fits your life, not some Insta-perfect fantasy.

But that just wasn’t going to work with four kids, a PhD, & two energetic Miniature Pinschers (Cappuccino, the older, calmer one, & Espresso, her whirlwind of a daughter) ruling the roost. I needed sustainability, not burnout. Aligning your niche with your values is essential. It’s not just about income, but creating a business that energises you & lets you be present for what – & who – matters most. Imagine valuing family time but building a business demanding 12-hour days. That's a recipe for resentment & a fast track to becoming "glorified roommates" with your partner!
My journey to Femmeprenista was fuelled by needing flexibility. It was about being there for those "pottery cup" moments & deciphering that unique "toddler language," even amidst the chaos. That’s what fuelled my drive. I even toyed with the idea of a subscription box for busy mums, filled with self-care treats and productivity hacks. It seemed perfect on paper, but deep down, I knew my true passion lay in empowering women through coaching, not logistics. That early realization, even before Femmeprenista officially launched, was a pivotal moment.
