Equality & Dignity Policy

1. Policy Statement
Femmeprenista (Thrivology Limited T/A Femmeprenista) is committed to fostering an environment of equality, dignity, and respect throughout its entire ecosystem. We recognise that discrimination, victimisation, and harassment are unacceptable. It is our aim to ensure that no employee, job applicant, contractor, coach, client, program participant, or community member receives less favourable treatment or opportunity on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation (the "Protected Characteristics" under UK Equality Law).
This policy applies to all participants within the Femmeprenista ecosystem. We believe in utilising the diverse skills, perspectives, and experiences of everyone involved to create a richer, more empowering environment for all.
2. Our Aim
Our goal is for the Femmeprenista ecosystem to be truly inclusive, where every participant feels respected, valued, and able to contribute their best. We actively oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination, harassment, and victimisation. The purpose of this policy is to provide equality, fairness, and dignity for all participants in their interactions with and within Femmeprenista.
3. Our Commitment
We are committed to creating an environment where individual differences are recognised and valued.
All participants, including employees (part-time, full-time, temporary), contractors, coaches, clients, program participants, and community members, will be treated fairly and with dignity and respect.
Selection for employment, contractor engagement, promotion, training, program admission, or other benefits will be based on aptitude, ability, and merit, relevant to the specific opportunity.
We will strive to ensure that all participants are supported in developing their potential within the context of their engagement with Femmeprenista.
We will not tolerate direct or indirect discrimination, harassment, or victimisation in any form, whether by team members, contractors, coaches, or participants towards others within the ecosystem.
4. Scope of Application
This policy applies to all aspects of interaction within the Femmeprenista ecosystem, including but not limited to:
Recruitment and selection of employees and contractors.
Terms and conditions of employment or engagement.
Onboarding and integration of team members and participants.
Access to coaching, training, programs, and community spaces.
Grievance and disciplinary procedures (where applicable).

5. Responsibilities
The CEO of Femmeprenista (Carlene Nisbett) has overall responsibility for the effective implementation of this policy.
All team members (employees, contractors, coaches) have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect and to foster an inclusive environment.
All participants (clients, community members) are expected to adhere to the principles of respectful interaction outlined in this policy and the Code of Ethics & Conduct.
Concerns or complaints related to equality, discrimination, harassment, or victimisation should be raised with Admin via info@femmeprenista.com.
6. Recruitment and Engagement
Femmeprenista will apply fair, objective, and consistent processes when recruiting employees or engaging contractors and coaches, based on aptitude and ability. Job descriptions, person specifications, and engagement criteria will be relevant to the role and free from bias.
7. Training and Awareness
Femmeprenista will endeavour to provide relevant awareness training or information to its core team (employees, key contractors, coaches) regarding their rights and responsibilities under this equality policy. All participants will be made aware of this policy and the expected standards of conduct.
8. Monitoring
Femmeprenista aims to foster a representative and inclusive environment. While we do not currently conduct formal statistical monitoring across all participant groups, we may review our practices, procedures, and participant feedback periodically to ensure they promote equality and fairness. Any information gathered for such purposes will be treated confidentially and used solely to support the aims of this policy.
9. Grievances and Complaints
Any participant who believes they have been subjected to discrimination, harassment, or victimisation contrary to this policy is encouraged to report the matter to Admin at info@femmeprenista.com.
Reports will be treated seriously and investigated promptly and confidentially where possible.
Discrimination, harassment, and victimisation are serious offences. Breaches of this policy by employees may lead to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal. Breaches by contractors or coaches may lead to a review or termination of their engagement. Breaches by clients or community members may result in removal from programs or community spaces.
Participants will not be penalised for raising genuine concerns under this policy in good faith.
10. Legal Framework & Review
This policy is guided by the principles of UK Equality Law but promotes fairness, dignity, and respect for all participants globally within the Femmeprenista ecosystem. The effectiveness of this policy and associated arrangements will be reviewed annually under the direct supervision of the CEO.
